Chapter 30: Hayden's Hide Out

Heidi's POV

We all went until nightfall before we make our very long journey to Mirror Lake, the lake itself is beautiful but the small run down cabin that is set deep into the forest is another story. It is a medium size and two stories, but judging from the outside of the place it looks like no one has been there for years. Ben and the rest of us creep towards the cabin, but the closer we get the more I am thinking to myself that this seems a little bit to easy, I know Hayden well enough to know that she would place any guards, spells, and anything else she could think of to make sure that no one made it to her and Morris.

We get to the front door as Ben puts his hand up as Jay, Carlos, Harry, Clay, and Hadie all sneak around the cottage to make sure it is safe, "All clear." Carlos says as the rest of the guys rejoin the group, and Ben takes one big deep breath before kicking the front door of the cottage in. We all burst in to see that it looks like no one is home and everyone piles in and starts looking around for any sign of either Hayden or Morris. Jay and Hadie hurry up the stairs to check out the second floor, but seconds later they both come down as Hadie shakes his head and Jay looks at us with a defected look on his face,"Neither one is upstairs." Jay says as everyone lets out a sigh. "She must have known that we were coming somehow." I say but everything comes to haul by the sound of someone banging on a door.

Ben looks behind him to see a locked door but before Ben opens it he looks through the small window. Ben unlocks the door and opens it to reveal Celia Facilier looking scared to death, "Celia?" Ben says as Celia looks up and notices that we are here, "This is not what I thought Auradon would be like." Ben kneels down and reaches to help Celia to her feet but she jerks away from Ben quickly,"No." She says with a look of horror in her eyes. Ben stands up and steps back as Hadie now kneels in front of Celia and slowly takes her hand in his, "It's okay." Hadie helps Celia to he feet, "What happened, Celia?"Hadie asks carefully helping Celia out of the tiny storage room and she quickly looks around only to see that it is all of us with the same puzzled look on our faces,

"Hayden and her boy toy forced me here because she said she needed to know about her future." Uma kicks one of the chairs out from under the table and towards Hadie who stops it with his foot, "You used your cards?" Mal asks as the rest of us gather around the table and Celia sits down in the chair, "Yes I used my cards and told her to pick three." I can tell that whatever happened to Celia still has her shook up. "What did the cards say?" I ask kneeling in front of her,"How do I know that you're not Hayden, and all of this is some test." Celia starts to panic as she looks around frantically. "Hayden and Morris are gone Celia,they can't hurt you anymore. But I need to know what cards Hayden picked." Celia takes a deep breath and calms down a little, 

"The first card she picked was the betrayal card, the second card she picked was the Auradon/Isle of the lost card, and the third card she picked was the darkness card." I nod my head not understanding what those three cards together could mean, but maybe Hayden figured it out and that is why she and Morris left."Hadie, take Celia to her dorm and keep an eye on her, Hayden or Morris might come back looking for her." Hadie nods his head as he walks out with Celia. The sound of Clay's sadistic laughter fills the quite room as he seems to think something is funny, but we all ignore him as he closes the door and we all head outside. 

"What could those three cards mean?" Mal asks as we all gather outside, "I don't know, only a Facilier could decode that." Carlos says as everyone tries to figure out what could have scared Hayden so bad that she would flee the safety of the cottage. "Dr. Facilier is trapped on the isle, Freddie is asleep thanks to sleeping curse, and Celia was in no shape to keep talking." All of us look at one another hoping that someone would come up with an answer, "Let's just forget about the cards and focus on finding and stopping Hayden." Mal says and all of agree with her and deep down in my heart I just have to hope that the other group managed to find Fairy Godmother and also found a way to reverse everything that has been done to Auradon. 

We all start walking again when Uma chooses to break the tension. "Ohh. All right.Let's get this Hayden chick taken care of already." Uma and Mal laugh but I stay quite knowing that taking down Hayden is easier said than down especially now since she is starting to unlock the powers of the Underworld. "What do you say, girl? Time to wrap things up?" Uma asks me turning her attention to me. I just put on a smile and nod my head before bumping fists with Uma. "You know,someday, you're gonna have to tell me how you guys all got teamed up." Ben says wrapping one of his arms around Mal's shoulder, "Actually, Mal promised to let all the kids off the isle once this over." I say as a look of going to be sick comes across Mal's face as she slowly walks away from Ben,

"Mal?" Ben says as Mal turns around to face all of us, "I have to tell you guys something." Getting the attention of the whole group.
