Chapter 20: Night Falls

Heidi's POV

We enter the castle with Dude leading us, "Ben!" Mal calls as we turn the corner leading to another hallway. Dude laughs as he picks up his pace, "This way." Dude instructs as Mallets out a deep sigh and I can tell how worried she is about Ben which is kind of ironic because Mal saw how worried I was about Harry and she was just going to leave there as Clay's torture toy. "Ben could be asleep anywhere." Mal sounds hopeless as Harry runs his hook along the wall, "Or turned to stone."Harry blurts out and I turn around gently placing my hand over his mouth,"Okay, we need positive comments right now Hooky, not truthful and hurtful comments." I say kissing his cheek before removing my hand as we keep walking down the hallway.

"Ben!"Mal yells again and I roll my eyes because I am getting really annoyed with her being so focused on finding Ben that we aren't trying to wake people up or trying to stop Hayden and Morris what so ever. "I got a scent, very pungent cologne. Easy to track. Follow me people." Dude says sitting up ahead of us,"That's great dude." Carlos says and, "FYI, I give great cuddles, too." Gil looks at Dude kind of excited to see an actual animal for the first time,"Really? I never had a pet growing up. Except for the elk head in my dad's man cave, but that wasn't...." Uma suddenly cuts Gil off getting my attention, "Holdup." I look over at Uma and just now notice the large scratch marks along the wall and the picture that has been cut in half. 

"What's this?" Uma asks gesturing to the claw marks and the broken picture, "Uh. Any chance this was already there?" Carlos asks turning to me and the rest of the group. We all sigh as Dude speaks up again, "And follow me." He suddenly takes off heading down another hallway, and we all hurry up to catch up with him. "Ben!"Mal yells again and Harry must have noticed how agitated I am getting with Mal screaming for Ben every few seconds, "You alright love?" Harry asks slings his arm over my shoulder, "I swear, if she yells for Ben one more time I am going hit her." Harry looks down at me before moving in front of me, "What is going on with ya? Ye seems a lot less like patience then you normally are." I sigh and bury my face into Harry's chest, 

"I don't know what is wrong with me Hooky, ever since Hayden took this serum to separate us, I just have been feeling no like my normal self." Harry places his chin on my head and wraps his arms around me, "We will figure everything out, I promise." I just nod my head as I pull out of his arms and take his hand in mine as the two of catch up with the others. "Ben!" Mal yells yet again and I can't control myself any longer as I lunge at her but Harry pulls back on my hand before I grab the back of her purple hair, "Self-control little sister."Hadie says walking up to me and placing his hands on my shoulders, "Ben!" Mal calls out as she and the others enter a room full of suits of armor. "I just want to rip her hair out." 

Harry takes my hand tightly in his, "You just rely on me, I will get you through this." I nod my head as Hadie makes sure to stay in front of me as Harry stays by my side. We all enter the room and look around to see it is just and empty room. "Ben!" I bite my lip hard to keep myself from unleashing my fury on Mal right now, but Harry sees how much I am struggling and quickly leads me away from the group. Clay wanders over to a suite of armor whistling as he runs his fingers along the sword the suit it holding. I incline my head towards Clay and Harry walks over behind him keeping an eye on him,

"I can feel you looking." Harry gets close enough to Clay to whisper in his ear,"Good." I turn my attention to Gil who is fascinated with Dude, "So you can track, cuddle, and talk." Gil rubs Dude before looking over at Carlos, "Hey, do you think his puppies would be able to talk too?" Carlos lets out a playful laugh, "All right man. He's taken. You want a dog, adopt a rescue." Carlos lightly hits Gil in his shoulder as Dude starts laughing which gets me to start laughing. "Talking puppies. That crazy." I look down at dude raising an eyebrow at him before wandering over to Harry.
