tonight the guys wanted to head to a nightclub in downtown LA, i wanted to have a whole movie night and eat snacks with diamond but she thought that was lame and wanted to go to the club instead. anissa never turned down our movie nights, she thought it was better than anything we could ever do- but the club is cool too.
we hopped in an uber and drove to the nightclub the boys wanted to go to.
after a 20 minute drive we make it to the destination and head in, lights were everywhere, the smell of alcohol swarmed the whole building and it was HUMID.
everyone was dancing on the dance floor and there was this one person with a bright green dress that caught my eye. she moves to the beat and when she turned around my heart drops to the floor.
it was her. it was the girl i first fell in love with 5 years ago at a house party. the girl that influenced all my songs. the girl that still holds the key to my heart.
"baby what are you doing lets gooo" diamond yanks my arm and pulls me towards the bar. i followed diamond but didnt keep my eyes off anissa.
i sit down at the bar with diamond while she calls for our drinks.
"why are you acting weird?" diamond asks
i shrug my shoulders, still not making eye contact with diamond
"fine ill go dance by myself" she stomps away
i see anissa walking my way so i divert my eyes elsewhere.
i see in the corner of my eyes she stops in her tracks.
"hey zion" she says
that VOICE. im melting all over again...
"hey beaut- i mean anissa, how are you?"
"im good how bout you?"
"could be better."
her smile drops and her body relaxes
"would you like to explain to me why? i know we havent talked in almost a year but ive gotten over it." she sits down next to me
"i miss you anissa. ive tried to move on, find my happiness again and convince myself you werent my happiness. but i cant keep lying to myself like that"
"i get that zion, and im not gonna lie... i missed you too" she smiles lightly
"Really?!" my eyes light up
"yes zion. i did. i thought about you alot if you want the truth, i thought about what wouldve happened if those days with sammi never happened.."
"anissa, ive been waiting months to tell you this but on the night of our anniversary i was going to propose to you... i still keep that ring to this day, everyday i looked at that ring to remind me of my mistakes, i wish i could take that whole day back and just re do it all... i waited four fucking years, four fucking years to propose to you and finally make you my whole of life. i had never been so excited for a day to come in my life and i messed it all up when i got insanely drunk. im so sorry" i begin to cry again
"zion, i get it, you regret it and you've learned your lesson, youve learned from your mistakes, and i for the longest time id never thought id do this but... i forgive you. i still have so much love for you."
"really? after everything i did?"
"yes. i never fully got over you. i was mad for so long but the love never left."
i grabbed her hand and pulled in for a hug which caught her off guard.
she hugs back and we stood like this for a few more seconds until we pull away.
we both lean in slowly and our lips connect with one another.... and there it goes. all the memories start flowing back into my head, all those long nights we stayed up eating and laughing, all those dates, long walks on the beach, all the jokes we made... it was like she never left.
i smile into our kiss as we both continue to share a passionate kiss. we pull away, im still smiling my ass off and shes still shook
"how about we go home and have a movie night" i suggest
"nothing better id rather do than that" she smiles widely
i call an uber and told the guys i felt sick, and i left with anissa.
