AMAY_zayn_DBe aware, the hearts find rest in Allah's remembrance! (13:28)
The whole car ride was in silence. I could feel Naeef's constant glance at me. Suddenly, our eyes locked and stayed like that for a minute. His calm and peacefull oceanic blue eyes had so many stormy tales to tell. Hiba's coughing sound startled us and I broke our gaze.
“Laiha, I'm asking you for the nth time. You look so scared. Did you see something in the mall?”
“Uh, no brother. I'm completely fine. I get tired easily.” I slided it away and added, “I missed my friends. We used to go for shopping often.” When I said friends, it was Ayman who popped up in my mind. I and my orphan friends used to go out for shopping in the weekend. Sauda would take us everywhere. But I and Ayman would slip without anybody noticing and would go somewhere. I miss him so much.
Once we reach home, I bid goodbyes to Hiba and Ziya. “Laiha, I'll get all these shopping bags. You go inside.” Jabir said and I headed inside.
I took a cold shower and crawled in my bed. “Ayman, I miss you.” I said to myself looking at the white ceiling above. Tears escaped my eyes. I wiped them and got up to open the door as I heard Jabir brother knocking.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
I nodded, smiling. “See what I've got for you.” He stretched his hand and my eyes widened seeing a mobile phone.
“Oh my god? Is this really for me?”
He nodded.“Now you can contact all your friends. Don't think you're alone. We're here for you.” I smiled and we chatted for some time and he left saying he wanted to sleep.
I switched on my phone and looked at myself in the camera. It was not an upgraded version, but it was cool enough to keep me updated. I connected to the wifi and created an instagram account. I searched for Ayman and messaged him.
Laiha: Mr
I waited for his reply and after in an hour came his message.
Ayman: OMG! Laiha? Is this really you? My leo?
I wanted to cry seeing his reply. I miss this guy so much.
Laiha: Please message me in watsapp.
I sent him my number and we started chatting. We talked for about 2 hours straight and suddenly he said,
Ayman: There is this girl, Alina. Her father is crazy. He wants to marry her daughter to me because she got herself into a trouble. She's in love with a guy and her father doesn't like him.
I didn't know what made me sad. I might act like a crazy possessive gf but I didn't want to show my vulgar side. I ignored him and cried until I doze off.
Next morning, my teacher casted me an expression from normal to perplexed.
“What happened?”
“Sir, please tell me how to solve this.”
“But you solved it smarter last time. I'm asking you again what's wrong with you?”
A sheepish grin tugged in my lips, thinking since when did he start to act cool.
“Shoot.” He waited for me to speak.
“Sir, I–I” He rose his eyebrows seeing me shift in my seat.
