As of 2015, i think ya'll should know that according to pottermore, Newt Scammander was still alive at the age of 118. theres no need to talk about him in past tense !! he's probably out there somewhere teaching Luna's kids the best way to tickle nifflers and probably chatting with hagrid and charlie weasley over tea every few weeks.
