Chapter 1

"Hazel, wake up! You're going to be late for the plane!" Mum shouted up the stairs.

I clambered out of bed, walking into the bathroom and looking in the mirror. I cant believe today is the day I leave for LA. When mum told me I couldn't believe it, someone had spotted little old me and thought I could actually be something big in the modelling world! I brushed my teeth and put my hair in a messy bun. I went back into my room and changed into some joggers and a tank top. I'd packed my stuff the day before so I wouldn't have to worry about it today. I trudged down the stairs, I was going to be leaving my mum and sister alone, but I had to leave sooner or later.

I sat on the breakfast top, nibbling on my toast, not very hungry. My sister came down and gave a welcoming smile, knowing that I was finding it tough thinking about leaving them.

"We'll be alright you know, me and mum, don't worry" Dani said whilst pouring some juice in a glass.

"I don't want to leave" I whispered, close to tears.

"Please don't cry Hazel, we'll talk every single day and you'll love it over there in America, I promise. I bet you there's loads of hot boys over there as well" she said, winking.

I chuckled, trying to find the bright side of all of this. I was cut off of my thoughts by mum.

"Hazel, I'm ready when you are!" She shouted from the front door.

Dani got up and so did I. She embraced me in a tight hug. I felt a tear trickle down my cheek.

"Please don't forget about us" she whispered into my ear.

"How could I forget about you eh?" I giggled.

We walked to the front door. I picked my bag up and looked back at Dani.

"I love you" she cried, now in a pool of tears.

"I love you so much, never forget about me either" I said.

"Never" she whimpered.

I gave her one last hug and stepped out the door and into the car. I dumped my bag onto the seat next to me and stared out the window the whole journey.

This was the start of something new...
