Chapter 17

*HAZEL POV*
I woke up with my head on James' lap, he'd fallen asleep too. I stood up and saw that jai and Luke must've gone somewhere.

My migraine had gone so I went and walked over to the kitchen. I sat on the kitchen counter and went on Instagram, drinking pineapple juice. I sat there looking at the pictures on the wall, all Fetus pictures of the boys.

Beau was probably the cutest but I heard he whined so much when he was younger. I'm not really a child person so id probably punch him if he annoyed me.
Suddenly, jai, luke, beau and Gina walked through the door with hands full of shopping bags. The boys faces weren't impressed, whereas Gina had a huge grin across her face, obviously a successful shopping trip. She looked in my direction and dropped her bags, from beaus reaction, on his feet.

"Hello darling! I haven't seen you in forever!" She said as she walked over to me and gave me a huge hug.

"How're you coping ok with having to live with these guys?" She said chuckling.

"Oy! She loves us all so much she doesn't wanna leave" Daniel interrupted as he walked down the stairs and crashed on the sofa.

"Come out from hibernating, have ya?" I said, laughing.

"Shut up hazeeeee!" He yelled sleepily.
Me and Gina talked for ages about everything whilst the boys went outside in the pool.

"So... you and James ey?" Gina said, raising an eyebrow.

"I really do like him, I just don't know if he feels the same way" I said, sighing.

"You're such a donut! Of course he likes you, ever since you moved in next door he's had the biggest crush, Have you never noticed?! When you went into hospital he was the lowest i had ever seen him! You need to tell him because he thinks your not interested." Gina said laughing.

Before I could answer, Lil Wayne's song 'lollipop' came on. Daniel had insisted on putting that as the ring tone to the house phone as 'everyone likes it' . I went over to the phone to see the caller ID was unknown.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey darling, it's mum!" I heard.

"OMG, mum, I haven't heard from you in so long!"

"I know, but me and your sister have a surprise for you!" She said.

"What?!" I shouted, getting nervous and excited.

"Well... me and dani are coming to stay for a week!" She excitedly shouted down the phone. I squealed with excitement and ran over to Gina and gave her a tight hug.

"Thank you so much!" I said jumping up and down.

"Don't thank me, thank a special someone who organised the whole thing because he knew how much you missed them both!" She whispered, now probably getting more excited than me. She smiled at me as I ran towards the double doors and swung them open, seeing all the boys in pool messing around with some inflatable stuff they'd found in there garage.

"You alright haze?" James asked as he chucked an inflatable dildo at Daniels head.

"Thank you so much James!" I ran over to him as he clambered out of the pool, even though soaked, I grabbed him into a hug and rested my head in the crook of his neck.

He laughed, "what's all this about?" He said looking down at me.

"My mum and my sister are coming here because of you, I love you Jemz " I said in a baby voice and I kissed him on the cheek.

I turned to all the other boys and realised they'd all gone silent, staring wide eyed at me and james.

"Awww, are you all jealous because james gets a kiss and you don't?" I said sarcastically.

One by one their cheeks turned Scarlett red.

None of them said anything, they just got back to throwing inflatable dildos around the pool.

Me and James were now standing on the edge of the pool, staring at the view from their house. I was going back to my house tomorrow, they'd sorted everything out and repainted everything so it was as it used to be. Mum and dani were coming tomorrow as well so it's good timing instead of crowding all of us in this house.

"Hazel, can we talk? Inside?" James asked nervously.

"Sure, as long as I can go get changed quickly." I smiled cheekily.

I ran in and up the stairs into my temporary room. I grabbed a tee shirt James had lent me because half of my clothes were now a pile of ash from the fire. I shoved on some joggers and a pair of long grey Uggs.

I rushed back down the stairs and jumped onto the sofa James was sitting on looking really fidgety. I crossed my legs and grabbed the hoody I had left on the sofa earlier and put that on too as it was quite cold with the draught coming in from the door.

"So what was it you wanted to talk about?" I asked.

"I don't really know how to say it" he frowned.

"James, seriously, you know you can tell me anything and I won't judge you for it." I said with an encouraging smile, basically wanting him to spit it out.

"Ok..." He said reluctantly, "I really like you Hazel, like a lot. To be honest I don't know what our relationship is and it's messing with my head, I can't stop thinking about you but I feel like you don't like me in that way. I didn't want to ruin our relationship by saying this but it ne-"

"Oh will you shut up!" I cut him off with my lips crashing against his, moving in harmony as James' face was pure shock, eyes pinged open.

"Does that answer your question?" I giggled.

"So... we're going out now?" He asked, looking stunned from what had just happened.

"Yes James, yes we are," I said smiling and kissing him on the cheek," just saying, Gina told me you liked me, I just wanted to hear you say it!" I laughed.

"Are you kidding me?! You put me through so much stress and now you tell me you already knew?" He questioned.

He grabbed me and tickled me, I thought I was going to die of either laughter or I'd just stop breathing.

"P..ple..please... sto..pp.." I screamed between laughter.

"What do you have to say to James first though?" He said devilishly, raising his eyebrows. The evil cow.

"SORRY!" I shouted in one burst.

"That's better." He smiled like an evil villain does when he gets his way.

"Well, as they say, revenge is sweeter than chocolate cake" I said, grinning.

We sat on the sofa for a good hour just talking about family.

"Yeah, my mum was just diagnosed with cancer a month or so back." He said, smiling, but failing.

"What about your dad? I don't hear a lot about him from you."

Well, my mum and dad split up when I was 5 and dani was around 3. Mum got custody of us and wouldn't let him see us. Basically he turned all pyscho and was filed as a missing person a few years back. Apparently he wants me, I don't know why but he does, that's partly why I moved here, to make sure he won't find me." I shrugged, I didn't really like telling people this as I was then a 'dangerous' person to be around.

"OMG are you serious, how are you so calm?" He asked, looking panicked and freaked out.

"I've been living with this story most of my life, it kinda just faded out of it. The police are out trying to find him now though, I think he was last seen in London about 2 years ago."

"All the more reason for me to protect you," he says, bringing me into his chest and kissing me on the forehead.
We watched our favourite film, Step brothers, and soon after it had started the other boys came and joined us and Gina as well.

James was holding onto me, quite tightly as well, I must've freaked him out with that story of my dad.
