It was finals week next week and the others were in panic. Jaemin and Donghyuck were trying to cram most of the lessons they slept through.

"How are you so chill?" Jaemin questioned.

Donghyuck had given up and just rubbed the book against his head, hoping the information inside would transfer to his brain.

"It's still next week right? There's still a lot of time." Jeno answered. He was busy planning something out in his notebook. He phone vibrated on the table, making him drop whatever he was doing.

Namu❣️

Hey

Hi
What's up?

Are you free?

Yeah, I don't have aft classes

Okay good
Library

Otw

"Since when did you two exchange personal numbers?" Donghyuck asked. "And why library?"

"Secret." Jeno mumbled, gathering his things. He happily rushed out of the classroom, leaving his two friends to study.

Ever since that day in the library that spot had become their little secret. Sometimes they would just eat lunch there instead of eating with the others. Other times they'd just sit there and enjoy each other's company. If it was needed Jeno would help her with her homework or teach her more Korean words.

As always, Jeno stopped by the cafeteria to buy her some snacks. He remembered her talking about how she craved gimbap and grabbed some. Once he paid, he made his way to the library.

As he was walking he spotted Namu walking with Mark. The two seed to be talking about something serious and Jeno found himself eavesdropping.

"When I graduate don't be lonely." Mark said.

"I have other friends. He's so much better than you." Namu huffed, looking away. "When you graduate the work load will be harder on you. Please take care of yourself."

"I will. I have you with me anyway." Mark grinned, patting her head. She moved away from his hand and fixed her hair.

"I won't be there for you all the time remember that, Minhyung." Namu reminded. She stopped in front of the library. "We're from two different worlds remember that."

"Why are you going there?" Mark asked. "You never eat lunch with me anymore."

Namu said something in English and Jeno couldn't understand her with how fast she spoke. She walked into the library after. Mark just scratched his head and walked away, allowing Jeno to stop hiding behind some lockers.

We're from two different worlds remember that.

What exactly did she mean?

Jeno walked up to their table and took a seat across from her. She smiled brightly upon seeing him.

"Did I keep you waiting? I didn't know which you wanted so I got both bulgogi and tuna gimbap." Jeno said. He opened the food packaging and placed it in front of her.

"Thank you. I actually made something for you as a thank you." Namu took a bento box from her bag and gave it to him. She looked down at her hands and tried to hide the bandaids wrapped around her finger. "It's not much but I hope it's enough."

"You're enough for me."

Namu looked up at him and their eyes locked. His black eyes sparkled in the beam of the sunlight that peered in. It was like she was looking at a starry sky.

A very beautiful one if she may add.

Jeno cleared his throat and looked away. "We should eat."

"Yeah we should. Please enjoy." Namu said, shifting in her seat. She quietly munched on the food Jeno bought for her as she waited for a reaction from the boy. He took a bite and let out a hum.

"It's a bit salty but the rice balances it out. You did a really good job overall." Jeno complimented.

"If it's too salty you shouldn't finish it." Namu mumbled as she felt the burning feeling of embarrassment.

"No, it's okay." Jeno assured. "It's even more delicious because you cooked it. You'd make a wife."

Jeno chuckled at how red her face became. She tried to hide her face with her long hair. He suddenly remembered his plan.

"Oh yeah, are you free this Saturday?" He asked nervously.

"It's a day off so yeah. My brother said I can go out on my days off." Namu answered.

"Do you want to go somewhere together?" He asked. "If it's fine."

"Of course it is!" Namu said almost instantly. She cleared her throat and composed herself. "But I don't know where we can go. It might be hard for you."

"Don't worry. I have it planned out already. All I need is for you to come." Jeno said. He had planned it accordingly to fulfill her boyfriend bucket list. "It's a date then."

"So if you want to convert it to molecules just multiply it by avogrado's number." Jeno explained carefully. He scribbled the solution onto the paper before checking it on the calculator. "Do you understand it or should I repeat it?"

Namu was fast asleep, using her folded arms as a pillow.

"If you keep sleeping like this you won't pass." Jeno sighed. He tried to wake her up but the girl didn't budge. "What am I supposed to do with you?"

He brushed the hair out of her face, admiring her soft features. His eyes unconsciously go to her plump lips. Her lipgloss shined with the afternoon sun's glow.

He noticed her shift and groan when the light hit her eyes. He hovered his hand over her her eyes, shielding them from the harsh sun. His heart swelled when he saw her smile a bit.

"Even when you sleep you make my heart skip a beat." Jeno whispered. He decided to let her rest a bit more as she stayed up watching Stray Kids meme videos.

He was brought out of his thoughts when he saw hand marks and her wrist slowly darkening into bruises. He frowned, wondering where she could have got them. He took her hand and examined it, pushing the sleeve back. There were more some new and old bruises. He gently squeezed her hand before planting a kiss on the biggest bruise.

"I hope this takes the pain away."
