"You know that it's real
So why would you fight
Or try to deny the way that you feel?
Oh babe, you can't fool me
Your body's got other plans
So stop pretending you're shy
Just come on and dance"(i didn't proofread. whoops 😬)

El Hopper walked down the hallway with her head held high and her books clutched to her chest protectively.
The halls bustling with students trying to get to their first period classes. El was trying to get to her locker unscathed, dogging people left and right.
After about a million years, El had made it too her locker. She dialed the combination in silence as people around her were yelling and shouting. The usual morning bustle.
El had to see a teacher before first period to talk about extra credit. She desperately needed to get her US History grade up. What better way to do it than extra credit?
El had already a tendency to be a bit of a bookworm. She always got her homework done and always studied. Turned things in on time. But sometimes you needed that extra push to get your grade up. It was better to have more work and get her grade up than having her dad on her ass twenty four-seven about her grades.
She was always reading, always studying. It was constantly school, school, and school. She was always preoccupied with school. She only was obsessed because of the burning desire to get out of Hawkins.
El turned the last number into the lock, her locker swinging open. She shoved her books in the metal compartment and looked around for her text book for her first period class.
"Lady Killer!" Max said as she bounded up to El's locker. A very big smile on the red-heads face. El turned to Max in shock, raising an eyebrow. "Maxine?"
"What's up?" She asked, her friend was practically beaming.
"Why are you so chipper this morning?" El asked as she continued to dig around in her locker for her text book.
"Would this have anything to do with Lucas Sinclair?" El asked with a smirk as she raised her eyebrow at her friend. Max leaned up against the lockers beside El's. She sighed in content, already answering El's question without having to use words.
"Gotcha." El said as she found her textbook, shoving it in the book bag that hung off her shoulder.
El knew that Max and Lucas had some kind of little thing going on between them. But nobody knew what that was exactly, they never really confirmed their relationship.
They always flirted with each other even though Max was not technically supposed too. Her parents forbid her to date but that wasn't even the worst part of everything.
Lucas was Friends with Mike Wheeler.
Mike Wheeler was one of the most rebellious people she knew. He always cussed out teachers, ditched class, smoked on school grounds and rode a motorcycle.
Typical bad boy persona. But he truly fit it. He was truly a rebellious guy. That's just who he was but El was opposite.
She always went to school, never ditched, got good grades, walked to school and never cussed out teachers. To blandly put it El was a goodie two shoes. She never did anything bad.
