Emily was thoroughly enjoying her movie even though it was a ridiculously stupid thriller that she already knew the ending of the movie by a third of the way through. All thrillers were pretty much the same. She screamed only once because she could have sworn that the stalker was Eric and the victim was her. How could people become so obsessed with another person that they would do anything to get to them? That wasn't love, it was torture. It was cruel and unusual punishment.
When Emily screamed, Ian instantly wrapped his arm around her in the cheesy, classic, and flirty way that every boy tried when they were at the movies. This made her blush and smiled. He leaned in and smiled. Was he going to try to kiss her? Surely not. She dug her fingers into her shorts. Something was wrong. She flashed back to the nightmare where she bit Eric's lip and drew blood. She turned her head and looked down at the ground.
The movie ended and Emily couldn't help but think that the same ending, the ending where she killed the stalker and the stalker killed her at the same time, would happen to her. She shivered. Couldn't she ever think about normal things? Apparently she was damned to forever be different from everyone else. It was a very lonely thing.
"It doesn't have to end that way Em. How can I prove it to you that we're meant for each other? Is it because that boyfriend of yours keeps distracting you? Just don't kiss him. Our kisses are lethal." Emily had no idea what Eric was talking about. She rolled her eyes and decided to ignore him.
Emily followed Ian and his friends outside. They all went their own way, leaving Emily awkwardly alone with Ian. Ian smiled at her. He didn't seem awkward at all.
"Follow me! I've got a little...spontaneity in store for you. To cheer you up." They walked toward the back of the movie theater where the outside lights were dimmed. What exactly did Ian have planned? Emily nervously bit her lip. Were they going to get caught?
Emily couldn't help but feel as if someone was watching them. She felt uncomfortable when Ian started gently putting his hands up her shirt. She decided to go along with it. She ignored Eric's warning about kissing him and she passionately kissed him anyway. Part of her wanted it, craved it, needed it. The other, less obvious part of her, couldn't help but feel as if something terrible was going to happen.
There was a branch that snapped in the distance. Emily instantly covered herself. She laughed nervously, just a deer. A beautiful looking deer. Ian began to kiss her again. He instantly turned into Eric. Emily screamed and closed her eyes. When she opened them again, it was just Ian.
"You just saw him in me, didn't you?" His expression was full of concern and frustration. He looked at her and frowned. Emily gently nodded. She didn't want to talk. Her voice didn't want to come out. It was like her throat was frozen. Her entire body felt frozen. He gently kissed her on her forehead and pulled his hands away from her shirt. He gently held her.
"Emily, just forget about that loser. As I said earlier, I sure as hell won't let him hurt you. I'll keep you safe." He kissed Emily. She shoved him against something the building. He cursed. Something feral was coming out in her and it absolutely terrified her. She couldn't control it.
"Damn! That hurt. Your a rough lover, y'know that?" Emily smiled and Ian laughed. She was about to laugh but that was when she caught the sight of his blood. Crimson red, smooth, and beautiful. Savory. Delicious. Why was Emily doing this? Because blood is life and power, Emily. Kill him. It's what you're supposed to do. After all, he's just a pathetic human. He means nothing to you. He's just a meal. Nothing more, nothing less.
In that second, Ian turned into something totally different then a potential boyfriend. He turned into her prey, something to kill and eat. She craved his raw flesh. What in the hell was happening to her? She was completely terrified. She wasn't in control of her body.
"Em Em Emily? Why are you looking at me like that?" Ian's pulse rang in Emily's ears. It was beating extremely fast. Emily smirked. His heart beat sounded so amazing. In that moment, she knew that she wanted to kill him. She was going to kill him. It was in her nature, it was what she was supposed to do.
Ian screamed as Emily sank her teeth into his neck. He let out a moan and within seconds, his body was completely mutilated and torn to shreds, eaten. Emily's mouth was full of blood. She was covered in blood. Ian's blood. Emily cried at his body and screamed. She was a monster! What kind of a human could do such a barbaric thing? She was a freak!
Emily's uncle came out and walked up to the body. He looked at it and at her as if she had done the most natural thing in the world. He grabbed the body and took it somewhere. She didn't care to know where.
Emily walked to the woods so no one would see her. She laid down, she felt completely and utterly crazy feeling. She didn't even want to look at the scene around her. She was surrounded by blood and animals. She wondered why the animals surrounded her. Maybe they smelled the blood and liked it. Maybe they were there to comfort her. Either way she just laid down and looked up at the stars. She felt disgusted with herself. She had just brutally murdered Ian. He had a family what would they do when they found out their son died? Would the cops know that she had been the one to murder him? She certainly hoped not.
"I told you not to kiss him Emily. Don't worry, you'll eventually get over him. He's in a better place now. Besides, if it makes you feel any better, he also had a heart condition which made his life miserable anyway. Everyone dies, Emaline, you just sped up his death date. If anything, you were helping him." Emily curled herself up in a ball and cried. Eric wasn't very good at trying to comfort her. She still didn't trust him.
