Every time that Emily stabbed the tree or kicked it or punched it, she felt tremendously better because she had pretended that the tree was Eric. This was very effective in letting her anger and aggression towards him and herself go efficiently.
Emily absolutely loved letting all of her anger and frustration out on the tree. She felt as if she could take Eric on. She felt powerful as if she could do anything that she set her mind to, literally. She loved doing this. She loved letting her anger out by playing with knives or punching non-human things.
Emily would have continued doing this all day had it not been for her uncle and the coming storm. He came out and smiled at what she had stabbed in the tree. It said "kill Eric." She quickly tried to cover it up with her short frame. She didn't know why, but she was nervous for her uncle to see all of her aggression.
"Emmy, lunch is ready. I know that you must be starved. Come take a little break." Emily nodded and followed him into the kitchen. He fixed her a sandwich and she ate it. She instantly threw it back up like she had done with the milk earlier. Her uncle frowned. He handed her a cup of what looked exactly like the same tea that Eric had given her.
Emily drank it and smiled. It tasted absolutely delicious even though she knew that it was blood now. Emily sort of felt like a vampire. She knew that she wasn't though. Her uncle laughed.
"Vampires are much lamer then we are Emmy. Besides, vampires aren't real. You were doing an amazing job with those knives. I could train you so much more if you would just let me. Would you let me train you properly?" Emily bit her lip. She knew that her uncle wouldn't stop until she accepted. She sighed and smiled a bitter smile.
"Do I even really have a choice in the matter Uncle Hugh?" Hugh sighed and shook his head. He smiled.
"No, not really but I'm glad that you're enthusiastic." Emily smirked.
"And I'm glad that you have a healthy sense of sarcasm." Hugh laughed. He was happy that his niece seemed to be adjusting extremely well.
"So I would assume that you are feeling much much better Emily? I would certainly hope that you are adjusting much better then your mother did. I'm so proud of how strong and powerful you are. Do you embrace your heritage?" Emily looked in determination towards her uncle.
"If it helps me kill Eric then yes. I embrace it with all of my being. I shall be a killer of monsters, not a killer of innocents." Hugh sighed.
"Everyone says that when we start out. I would certainly hope that you stick to that little promise of yours."
"So, when are you going to properly train me? You seem awfully eager to start." Hugh smiled a big smile. His eyes were full of bloodlust
"Whenever you would like to start I suppose." Emily looked eagerly at him.
"Can we start now Uncle Hugh?" Hugh smiled and nodded. He was happy that his niece was so eager to learn how to kill. He took one last sip of his blood. He hoped that he was pacing Emily right.
