When Emily walked in, she could only see her uncle but then she saw him. He was exquisitely beautiful. His eyes were grey and locked on her. His hair was brown, very similar to the color her hair had been. He smiled at her. She seemed to be all that he focused on. He was the one with the arrogant and powerful air around him. He hand his hands in the pockets of his fancy khaki jeans. He was wearing a polo and expensive looking loafers. His smile widened as he watched Emily observed him. He held out one of his hands and they shook hands with each other.
"Hello darling. You must be Emaline Morgan, am I right? You're so beautiful. You look just like your mother." He held Emily's chin up. She was confused. What was he doing? She pulled her eyebrows together.
"Um thank you Alistair." Alistair looked at her. He seemed saddened by something. He turned his attention to her uncle. He seemed to be skeptical of something. He looked coldly and unamused at her uncle. His stare would make anyone quiver. He was reading her uncle's mind. Her uncle seemed to be in pain.
"So she's your daughter, is she? Surely you know that you couldn't possibly lie to me Hugh. If you did, I'd say that you were completely stupid and ignorant." Hugh glared at him.
"She is my daughter. She looks exactly like her mother and like me. Who else could she possibly belong to?" Alistair leaned into Hugh's face and glared at him. He smirked a bloody and arrogant smirk.
"I think we both know who her real father is, Hugh. Who else would be as brutal on their first kill other then a royal descendant, as she likes to call them?" He turned around. He seemed to be observing Emily. Was he trying to read her mind? She pushed him out and he smiled.
"Alistair, you can't just intrude into my house and think that you own the place." Alistair smirked.
"Don't I practically own everything? After all, I am the one who makes decisions regarding our kind. Don't make me do anything stupid in front of the children. It really would be a shame if I had to hurt you." Emily instantly stood in front of her uncle and glared at Alistair.
"Don't you dare hurt my uncle. If you do....." Alistair laughed. He played gently with a strand of her hair. Her hair wasn't naturally blonde. She stood stiffly. She glared at him.
"What would you do? You haven't even been training yet. Had I been over you, I would have trained you since you could walk." He tried to push his way forward but Emily stopped him by throwing him back against the wall. What was she doing? Alistair laughed a terrifying laugh.
"Just like your daddy dearest." With that, Alistair just magically disappeared. She looked at her uncle. He seemed saddened by something. He passed out. She instantly ran towards him. What had happened? Had Alistair injured him? Could spirit elements suck the energy out of people? Emily instantly closed her eyes and put her hands on her uncle. She gave him energy and he woke up. She passed out shortly after.
