The Basement

When Hugh got finished eating his lunch and she finished drinking more of her "special drink," which she absolutely refused to call blood, they got up. Hugh smiled at her and walked to a door. It led to the basement where Emily was never allowed to go previously.

Emily went into the basement and screamed at the horrors that were bestowed upon her. She covered her mouth with her hand. There were three people in various states. One was fresh, one was still alive but barely, one was lying on a table as dead as a doornail. Emily didn't feel good at all. She felt like she was going to throw up. There was blood everywhere! The blood made her head spin. It also made her thirsty.

"Please......help me......" Emily looked up at the one that was barely hanging on. She was gagging up blood and coughing every other minute.

"Emily, try your best to be open minded, would you?" Emily slowly nodded. Her uncle smiled. "That's my perfect little niece. This is the room where we kill. Humans are a necessity for our particular diet. Don't worry, your genes will adjust soon enough. That is why you have been vomiting everything that you eat and drink. Your body, once it's had a taste of what it's supposed to eat, can't handle anything else."

Hugh looked around the room and sighed wistfully. He looked at his little niece. She finally knew exactly what she was. He was happy. He was in a state of utter euphoria and bliss. He looked to the living bodies and even to the dead one and he smiled.

"Luna, Ethan, Carter, I would like for you to meet my wonderful niece. You should be honored that you are going to be used for her training." The girl moaned and cried. The living boy glared at her.

"Surely you still have some human in you. Please, run and call the police! Your uncle is a complete lunatic. He killed my friend and he'll eventually kill you." When the living boy said this, her uncle growled and grabbed a knife. He held the knife to the boy's throat. He wasn't human in that moment. He truly was a demon.

"I would never harm my niece and for you to think of that, it disgusts me. You humans never learn. It's a shame really, that you are all so blinded. Say you're sorry to her and I will prolong your life. I might even let your little girlfriend free." Emily knew that he was just bluffing. He would never do that. It would be incredibly stupid if he did.

"Fuck. You." Two words. That was all that it took. Instead of killing the boy, Hugh walked up to his girlfriend. She screamed. The boy glared at Emily. She had already made her decision. She was staying because she was morbidly curious.

"You shouldn't have said that my dear boy. Now, how shall I kill your helpless little girlfriend? What do you think I should do Emily?" Everyone looked at her. She bit her lip.

"You can't kill her! She's pregnant! You wouldn't be monstrous enough to kill a life before it's began, would you?" Something happened in Hugh. He looked at the girl and cursed. He put his hands to her stomach and smiled.

"It's a little baby girl. Congratulations! I couldn't possibly take a child's life." He looked at the girl and said something. She passed out. What was he doing?

"An interesting thing about what we are, my dear Emily, is that we can make people forget things......we can also control them. Because we can influence water, and water is in blood and the human body, we can control humans." He laughed a bloody laugh. The girl grabbed a knife and stabbed her stomach. Then she stabbed herself in the arterie. Emily gasped. How could her uncle do such a horrendous thing?

Emily ran out of the basement and into the kitchen and outside to the backyard. She didn't care about what she was, what her blood destined and called her to be. She only cared about one thing. Getting the hell out of here. Little did she know that there was no leaving. She was trapped. She was damned. No wonder her mother wanted to keep her away from her uncle. Her uncle was as evil as they came.
