Soon after Eustace had started that little fire, everyone got to work and made sure our island stay would be as comfortable as possible. Some grabbed more sticks for the fire, the others brought blankets and mini pillows for our heads.
After we had a nice roaring fire going, we began cooking dinner. Some of the crew (me included) had gone down to the shore and fished. We caught enough food for everyone to have at least one helping.
When we all finished dinner, we sat around the fire and chatted amongst our selfs. Some had fallen asleep, others were still awake.
It was very calming, hearing the waves and the fire crackling drowned out the eerie noises that emerged from this island.
Caspian, Edmund, and I were talking quietly amongst ourselves. Caspian had placed his head in my lap as he gazed at the stars above. Oh how amazing it was to see the night filled with them.
"I've never seen these constellations before." Edmund mentioned randomly. He laid down on his back.
"You mean you didn't see these when you reigned over Cair Parevel in the Golden Age?" I asked looking at him.
He shook his head, "no, everything was lit up at night. Even from the beach you couldn't see all of it."
"Ohh, yea. I see what you mean. I haven't seen anything like this either." I say running my hand through Caspians black hair.
"Me neither." Caspian mentioned taking one long pause before finishing, "We're a long way from home."
"Ya think." I chuckled lightly.
Caspian chuckled a bit before continuing again, "When I was a boy I used to imagine sailing to the end of the world, finding my father there."
"Maybe you will." Edmund said as he closed his eyes.
I smiled as Caspian was half asleep too, "I know you will."
After that both boys were sound asleep, Edmund had started to lightly snore. I just listened to that until I caught another conversation from Lucy and Gale.
"I miss my mummy." She mentioned to Lucy. They were both gazing at the stars.
"I miss mine too. Don't worry, you'll see her again." Lucy replied feeling sorry for the girl.
Gale turned her head to look at Lucy, "How do you know?"
"You just have to have faith about these things. Aslan will help us." Lucy answered with as much as a smile as she could muster.
"But Aslan couldn't stop her from being taken." Gale reminded her, my heart was torn for this little girl.
"We'll find her. I promise. Somehow." Lucy replied as she turned over on her right side.
Both girls fell asleep, that left me to search deep inside my head.
How I missed my parents, I knew exactly how Gale was feeling. Somehow they were up there watching over me. Aslan could've tried to stop that one bomb from hitting my home, but he didn't. As I've come to know Narnia and Aslan, I believe he is more then just king of narnia. For some reason, I feel like he's king of the whole world. He knows what's going on, Aslan's knows what not to stop and what to stop.
He knows what is going to happen, Aslan has a deeper meaning to him self then he admits. I just have that feeling, I have the feeling that I've known him all my life.
As the thoughts kept pouring into my head, I began to feel tired. I decided to lay down. However, when I was half way down, I saw Eustace crying.
I felt bad for him, plus him being a animal made it even sadder. I didn't want to move, but it was heartbreaking too see him cry. I sighed and sat up, I carefully placed Caspian's head on top of my pillow. I then got up and walked over to Eustace, I sat down and placed a hand on his head.
