"The spell..it's lifting.." Lucy exclaimed.
In fact the fog was lifting, the sky began to become clearer. The evil was lifting, it was such a beautiful sight to see.
"Edmund! Caspian! Christina!" Lucy called out to us, "Look!"
"It's beautiful! We did it!" I exclaimed.
I couldn't believe we won, I immediately ran to the edge of the boat. Coming out of the fog ahead, boats with all the missing people were floating towards the vessel.
Lucy came by Gales side and wrapped a arm around her as the little girl was searching for someone. It took her a minute but once she found them, her eyes grew wide.
"Mummy!" She shouted with joy.
Gales father came behind her, "Helaine!"
With out warning, Gale jumped out of the boat and into the water below. Her father did the same. When the pair reached the woman, they all hugged her and cried. It was heartwarming, I felt happy for them. This little girl was lucky. If I could give her any advise, I'd tell her to cherish them because you never know how long you'll have them.
"Let's have them on board!" Caspian said from behind me, "clear the deck!"
Suddenly, someone pulled me away from the side of the boat. I gasped, but I didn't fight it. It was Caspian who had done it, he looked at me for a moment and then slammed his lips onto mine. I kissed him back, but then pulled away quickly.
"Caspian! I'm still mad at you!" I pouted, I wasn't going to let him win me over that easily.
He laughed a little bit, "you know you love me, now shut up and enjoy the moment."
He kissed me again, softer this time. I immediately closed my eyes, I kissed him back. This was the moment I've been longing for, to feel his warm lips on mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, he hugged me tighter.
It was one of the best feelings in the world, I didn't want this moment to end. However, he let go after a few minutes and gazed into my eyes. He was blushing, but his playful smirk was there.
"That's better." He sighed contently while giving me a small wink, he still held me close.
I was blushing tremendously, I knew people were staring at us. I didn't care tho, this was our moment.
"Did you like that princess?" He asked after he placed his forehead on mine.
I nodded while closing my eyes, "yes, yes I did."
"Finally!" Sunny exclaimed behind me, she had a goofy grin plastered on her face.
I turned my head around and looked at her, "We're you watching the whole time?"
"May be.." she shrugged with a big smirk on her lips.
I shook my head, I couldn't believe her at times but I wouldn't trade her for anyone else in the world. I took Caspian's hand and lead him over to Lucy and Edmund, he had his arm wrapped around her.
"We did it. I knew we would." Lucy stated, she looked very relieved that this was all over. She did look a bit sad, like she was missing something.
Edmund nodded but mentioned, "It wasn't just us though."
"What do you mean?" I asked, who else could've helped us out.
"You mean..." Caspian began to ask, he however got interrupted by someone not on the boat.
"Hey! Hey, I'm down here, Lucy. Over here! Hey, Lucy. I'm in the water. Lucy!"Everyone stepped closer to the side of the boat, we all recognized that voice.
"Eustace!" Lucy exclaimed, a smile replaced her previous frown.
Eustace had somehow turned back into a boy, he was normal again. However, there was a change in him. It was a good change, something inside of him was softer. Brighter, just over all he was a different boy.
"I'm a boy again! I'm a boy!" He cried out in pure delight.
Reepicheep jumped up on the railing and looked at the boy in the water, "Eustace! I see your wings have been clipped! Ha ha!"
The mouse jumped in the ocean and landed next to Eustace, he basked in the water for a minute before singing.
"Where sky and water meet. Where the waves grow ever sweet."
Reep took a handful of water and took a sip, "It is sweet. It's sweet!"
Eustace did the same, he smiled as he tasted the water. Reepicheep suddenly got distracted by something, he climbed on Eustace's shoulder.
"Look! Look!" He shouted while pointing towards something white in the distance.
"Is it really.." I began to inquire.
Lucy interrupted me, "Aslan's country."
"We must be close." Caspian mentioned with a bit of excitement.
Edmund shrugged,"Well, we've come this far."
"Let's go then." I say with out any hesitation.
Caspian immediately let down the ladder that was attached to the side of the ship. Once Eustace and Reep had come on board, Caspian took Eustace personally to get him some dry cloths.
Now, a decision had to be made. Was I going to stay or go back? It wasn't a hard choice to make, I knew the answer the minute I asked that question. Now it was time to do one last thing, a letter..I needed to write a letter.
I went down stairs with Sunny and Lucy, we all got dressed into some dry cloths.
"Are you coming?" Sunny asked me.
Lucy had already made it up stairs, Sunny was doing some minor adjustments to her attire.
I pulled out a piece of paper and pen from the desk, "yes, meet me upstairs."
"Ok." She told me before she ran out the room.
I looked at the Susan's bow that sat on the shelf across the room, I then looked at the blank paper and took a deep breath before I stared my first words.
"Dear, Susan..."
