We finally walked out of that tempting hole with one less sword to find. I was excited to get back and search for my cousin, I would bring him back no matter what.

We were almost to the boats when we heard a awful sound, it was like a roar...a angry roar.

"What was that?" I asked turning around and looking back where I came from.

Edmund and Caspian looked back as well, smoke was coming from one of the volcanos.

"Do volcanos sound like that when they are about to erupt?" I asked a bit nervously, what ever it was sounded inhuman.

Edmund shook his head and grabbed my hand, "Let's get back to the boats, the more men we have..the better our chances."

My brother pulled me along as he began to walk extremely fast, I was having trouble keeping up with him.

When the boats were seen in the distance, I couldn't be more happier. I thought when we reached the shore we'd be safe..or so I thought.

"Christina!!!"

That was the last thing I heard before a big huge wind hit me in the back. Before I could compose my self and look behind me, I felt something grab me.

I gasped as I was being lifted in the air, I held onto Edmunds hand as tight as I could. He was trying to pull me down towards him, that made it harder for this creature to fly off.

So, instead of yanking me again. The thing that held me picked up Edmund and then flew in the air again.

I screamed while still holding my brothers hand. Surprisingly, Edmund was the calm one in this situation.

"It'll be ok." Edmund told me as we swooped towards the waters surface.

The creature glided just above the top of the ocean making it too close for comfort, I just closed my eyes and squeezed them tightly.

"Christina! Edmund!" I heard Lucy shout.

When I opened my eyes, the beast was gliding towards the ship.

"Lucy! Watch.." I screeched just before the being made a sharp turn and flew higher in the air.

What was this thing even doing? Why did it want us? What was it?

I was afraid to look, but my curiosity was pulling at me stronger. I gulped and then turned my head to the side.

What ever it was, was huge. I decided to look upwards,  I gasped shocked at what I was seeing.

"A dragon!" I shouted loud enough for Edmund to hear me.

He nodded very relaxed despite being held by something you only read about in fairy tales.

"You know what's funny? When I first came here, I would've never believed this."

"In the Golden Age there were tales of them..."

"Why are you so calm? Obviously if you had meet a dragon, you would've said something earlier!" I groaned as I tried to break loose.

Edmund sighed, "because I'm trying to think of..."

All of a sudden I looked downwards to the ground, when I saw what lied before me...I stuttered.

"What?" Edmund asked, then he looked down too.

"You've got to be kidding me." Edmund grumbled.

In one of the many valleys, these words were carved in by fire.
