The Voyage of the Dawn Treader: The Adventure Continues!

The Final Battle Approaches

The next day I had managed to calm my self down. However, I wasn't talking to either of the boys. As for when this ended, I felt like going back or staying wasn't a option. Either I'd go home and face Susan or I'd stay here and be reminded each day that Caspian choose someone else.

I was lost, but I wasn't completely desolated. As for Sunny, I noticed a change in her. She was a bit more quiet and distant, I wasn't sure why.

So today, I approached her on the balcony of our room.

"Hey." I said as I leaned on the railing of the platform.

The breeze was with us today, we would reach the dark island by afternoon.

She looked at me and smiled a bit, "hey, are you ok?"

"No, but I'll live. That's what I was going to ask you."

"No, I...Edmund..last night when he told the star not to change back..I..that's been bugging me."

I sighed everyone's been acting crazy and stupid lately, "Don't worry about it. He does stupid things all the time."

"It's just..what if he goes back? What if you go back?" She asked starting to cry a little bit.

I immediately wrapped her up in my arms, "What ever happens, you'll be ok."

It was finally early afternoon and the Dark island was now closer then ever. Everyone on deck was bustling about preparing for what ever was in lurking in the shadows.

Caspian, Lucy, Sunny, Benjamin, Edmund, Tavros, Drinian, and I were standing on the top deck looking at what sat before us.

"So, what do you think is in there?" Tavros asked to anyone who would answer.

That question was on everyone's minds, each one of us had their own opinion but we really didn't know.

"The demons inside our head." I say firmly.

Edmund looked at me before speaking his opinion, "Our worst nightmares."

"Our darkest wishes." Caspian added.

"Pure evil." Drinian finished before he walked over to the strong minotaur, "Tavros, unlock the armory."

Tavros nodded, "My lord."

"Archers, prepare yourselves." The Captain ordered everyone down below.

"Aye, Captain." Someone called back.

Tavros walked down the flight of stairs and yelled to the crew to light the lanterns.

"Let's get ready." Caspian said before walking down the same stairs him self.

Lucy and Gale were in the map room getting ready. Sunny and I were in our room, we sat on the bed braiding each other's hair. I had just did her hair, now she was fixing mine.

"I wanted to say...you have been the only true best friend I've had in my entire life. If anything should happen to me, I..."

Sunny hushed me up, "Don't talk like that..we're gonna make it."

"I...I know. I wanted to ask you, if I stay..will you journey with me to find my parents?" I asked after she had tied my hair in place, I turned around and faced her.

She squealed, "yes! Of course!"

"I..I think I want to stay..but I want to find my real parents first."

"And I don't blame you."

I slowly got up from my bed and walked over to the mirror, Sunny came behind me.

"You look beautiful." She smiled while tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

I looked at her for a minute, "so do you."

(Knock knock)

"Come in!" I told whoever it was.

Edmund opened the door and came inside, "We're about to head in the dark island, Caspian wants us all upstairs."

"No matter what happens here...every soul who stands before me has earned their place on the crew of the Dawn Treader. Together we have traveled far. Together we have faced adversity. Together we can do it again. So now is not the time to fall to fear's temptations. Be strong. Never give in. Our world....our Narnian lives, depend on it. Think of the lost souls we're here to save. Think of Aslan. Think of Narnia." Caspian spoke to all who where on board, he was about to walk down the stairs when Lucy shouted something.

"For Narnia!"

That made everyone, including me clap there hands and shout the famous line. Caspian stopped and admired the crowd who he just had inspired to do great things. His face looked proud and shocked at how many people were willing to give there life up for this cause.

Now it was time..it was time to fight. The fog that surrounded the demonic island came over the boat, it was time to get into position. We had finally entered the final step in this long journey.
