In the Beginning.

I'd bought furniture for my Apartment. I still needed to buy more things but I'd been working.

"Mrs.Harry it's time for lunch." I say sitting her food at the table.

"Okay sweetie."

I began opening her plates.

"You know I can do all that myself Genesis."

"I know but I just wanna take care of you Ms.Harry, that's my job."

"Girl go on to your next Patient, So you can leave early."

"Thank you Ms.Harry." I say kissing her cheek

All my other paitents weren't like this. They needed me to feed, wash, and change them. But it was quick money. I closed her door and began walking to my next patient

*knock* *knock* "Hey Mr.Johnson, Its Genesis." He was blind and partially deaf. He had a stroke so he had a feeding tube.

Once I finished cleaning him up. I went to my next patient. Once the day was over, I had to go to my night classes. After this semester I would take my final test then I would be a RN.
I finished the rest of my day and night by going out to a cafe and doing some homework at a 24 hour coffee shop. I ordered a donut and sat at a barstool and sat my laptop in front of me and my papers beside it and began writing the notes. I needed to study for my upcoming test.

After studying for about an hour, a couple came in arguing it was around 12am. I tried not to pay them any mind but they were really loud and I couldn't focus, so I began eaves-dropping.

"Britt I know you cheating!" He said whisper yelling

"No the fuck I didn't." She says getting up.

"Where you going?"
She didn't say anything and walked out.
"What the fuck." He says with his head in his hands.

Now that it was quiet I can finish a little more studying. Until I was interrupted.

"Aye sweetie."

I turn around because I was the only one in the cafe

"Huh?"

"Come here."

Doing as told I grab my laptop, work, pen, and walk to the table he was at and sat down.
"What?"

"Nun just wanted to talk to you."

I raise my eyebrow. "I have some work to do."

"Oh let me help you." He says moving his chair closer to me.
"I don't know what the fuck none of this is."

I burst out in laughter and he does too. "It's okay, I know pretty much what most of this stuff is." I say closing my laptop.
"It was nice meeting you..."

"Malik."

"Genesis."

"Like the Bible?"

I nod my head.

"It's cute."

"Thanks I guess." I say beginning to walk away.

"You think I could get a ride? Ole girl took the car."

"Call a Uber or something." I say with a mug

"But we could get to know each other."

"Come on Malik." I mean he was cute the least I could do was give the poor dude a ride

"So this you?" I ask looking at his house

"Yea, thanks for the ride. Here." He says handing me 3 $20's

"Thanks but it's fine." I say handing him his money back.

"Nah keep it... just let me yo number."

"Don't you have a girlfriend?"

"She cheated, and I'm done."

"I'd rather not. I just got out a relationship."

"I totally understand. Just keep the money."

"Thanks. It was nice meeting you malik."

"Same to you Genesis." He says with a smile
