In the Beginning.

"I don't even know who all I need to invite." I say trying to prop my phone up on the candle while I sit at my island trying to plan Zens 1st birthday.

"I don't even know why your doing all this. Zen is not gonna remember any of this." Jayla says from FaceTime

"I said the same thing. But Tre insists. And he's paying for all of it so I really don't care."

"Okay then. Well where are you gonna have it at?"

"My apartment is to small. And Tre doesn't want to do it at his house. So I was thinking maybe a community building or something."

"Well I'll get some decorations. I know he loves to watch pj masks." Jayla says rolling her eyes.

I laugh "girl yes can't even watch tv for him trying to watch some damn pj mask."

"He's such a character. I love him so much. Gives me baby fever." She smiles.

"Bitch you don't need no baby fever."

"I know right. FUCK THEM KIDS." She yells.

I laugh."okay so ima invite jasmine,Tre,tela,trinity" I roll my eyes while adding the names to my planner

"I don't fucking like her." Jayla says

"She's a bitch to me for no reason."
"Anyways. my momma, aunt mag, Galeno, kiesha, kayden, kaylee."
"Can you think of anyone else?"

She smirks.

"I can't invite him. I'm gonna catch feelings again."

"Girl invite his fine ass."

"He has a girlfriend now. And he told her he was still stuck on his ex. I'm not trynna be in that drama."

"Girl invite him. He even asked to be invited. shit she did too."

"Well what about him and Tre?"

"Nothings gonna happen. They both love you and Zen."

"I guess." I say adding Malik and Bellamy to the list

"Alright girl Xavier is calling me. I love you girl." Jayla says hanging up quickly

"Ugh I hate this single shit." I mumble to myself.

I began to shower. I've been working a lot of overtime. So I can take time off fro Zeniths birthday. I really need a vacation from work.
After I finish my hygiene and I get ready I head off to work.
I texted my co workers Trinity and Tammy asking if they wanted anything before I headed into work. They sent me their Starbucks orders and I picked them up.

"Hey y'all." I say walking in greeting my coworkers.
"Here's your coffee tammy." I say handing tammy her coffee

"Thank you girl. I gotchu tomorrow." Tammy says with a smile.
Tammy was white with long brown hair with blonde highlights. She was really cool. She wasn't a basic white girl she had a little flava. You could tell she only dated black dudes.

"Here you go Trinity." I say handing Trinity her coffee.

"Thank you." She says dryly.

I go in and get changed into my work scrubs and look at my schedule for today. I was gonna be injecting medication this 12 hour shift.
