In the Beginning.

I wake up wrapped in Malik's arms.

We never actually had sex it was just oral. I never even pleased him. He's a really good guy and I like him. I really like that he's also been helping me through out my pregnancy, even though it's not his.

I move his arms and hop in the shower. And finish doing the rest of my hygiene. Malik also finished his hygiene and was sitting in the living room watching tv and on his phone.

"I'm finna go, I'll be back around 3." I say standing in front of him

He looks up from his phone and directly at me "Where you going?"

"Doctors appointment, I find out the gender today."

"Why you ain't tell me? I told you I wanted to go to your appointments with you."

"I ain't think you was serious." I say bending over and putting my hands on his knees

"Why would I say that if I wasn't serious?"

"I don't know" I say shrugging my shoulders
"You really wanna come?" I say smiling

"Of course."

"Thank you for being so supportive."

"You welcome ma." He says pecking my lips

We make it to the car and I put the directions in Malik's phone to the obgyn

"So you ain't wanna have a gender reveal."

"Nahhh."

"Why?"

"I don't really know to many people."

"Fair enough."

We make it to the Obgyn and wait for about 25 minutes until we were called into the back.

"How are you guys today?" Dr.Janelle asks

"We're good, how are you?" I ask her

"Good it's been a long day though." She says putting her gloves on
"Okay so were gonna check on baby today. If I can see the gender would you guys like to know."

I nod my head

She added the warm jelly on my belly then clicked a few buttons on the keyboard and the ultrasound popped up on the tv screen.
Malik looked so interested and intrigued. It was the cutest thing ever. I honestly wish I was having a baby by him. I know it's a sad thing to say but it's not even his kid and he's here with me.

"Okay so you see that right there." Dr.Janelle says circling between the baby's legs

"That the baby's penis. It's a boy." She says clicking the keyboard taking a picture of it.

I began tearing up. I'm really excited. I'm really gonna have a son.

"Gen why are you crying?" Malik says coming over

"I don't even know."

Dr.Janelle laughs "it's normal most moms cry."
"Here's the baby boys heartbeat. His heart rate is 137. Which is normal."
"I know dads excited for a baby boy." She says wiping the gel off my belly

"Yea I'm really excited."

I look at Malik and smile because that just confirmed the question I've been asking myself.
He pecks my lips then sits back in his seat.

"Okay you can get your photos at the front desk."

We were laying in bed. Malik was laying on my belly while I was rubbing his dreads, and watching tv.

"I think I'm falling in love with you." I blurt out not thinking.

"Forreal?" He says getting up

"It's okay if you don't feel the same way. I just really appreciate you being with me through my pregnancy."

"I feel the same way Genesis. When I'm not around you it's like I'm not happy. I even tried to fall back but I couldn't. I ain't never been so sprung off a girl I ain't even have sex with yet."

I giggle and rub the side of his face.
"But is it too early to say that I love you?"

"Nah cause I love you too."

We passionately kiss.

"But Malik..."

"Huh?"

"I can't be with you if your gonna be in these streets."

"Alright I'll stop." He says going back to kissing me

I back my head away "I'm serious."

"I'm done Genesis. I'm gonna get a job and help you raise our baby."

We continue to passionately make out. Until it lead with my legs in the air with Malik face deep.
