I wasn't gonna continue this bc I hate how I wrote it but okay here we go.

Y/n had been following her friends after leaving the basement. They all looked stressed not to lie. You heard lots of arguments with your name included. I guess Eleven was going to be placed fully in your care? This was going to be way too easy wasn't it. You followed them all the way to the newly remodeled Hawkins Mall. But instead of going into the mall through the front doors, the kids went in through the back alley, where a station wagon was waiting. Joyce Byers came out of the car and showed some papers to the kids. Max put her hand over her mouth and gasped at the papers, as did everyone else. They even began to jump up and down it happiness. What could those papers say? (What u guys think🤫)

Then, she came out. The girl you've failed so many missions on, the one that you need. Elle came out of the car, wearing an oversized shirt and jeans with converse. Mike practically jumped into her arms, kissing her with such intensity it's surprisingly Joyce allowed it. She hugged the other and did a little handshake with Max. Yeah, whatever, she's my best friend still. The group waved to Joyce as she drove away, and the friends turned around and began walking into the mall. Time to put up a front.

"Y/n?" You turned around in the GAP store to see Dustin right in front of your face. "Oh! Hey guys! Didn't see y'all!" The group awkwardly stared back, all standing in front of eleven. "Um. Who's that?" You ask, knowing damn well who that was. Max grabbed Elle's arm and led her to you. The girl looked kinda rough or confused or something, but she smiled at you, as you did to her. "I-I'm Elle." She said quietly. "She's been our friend for a while, but she's um, homeschooled." Max chimed in. "Oh okay cool, I'm y/n. Hope we can become good friends!"

"HAHA! I'm a prooo shoplifter!" You say, running out of the store alongside Will. "Well, I'm actually a decent person who pays for their things." He said, laughing. "Yeah yeah, I know, it's just fun sometimes." You grab Wills arm and began to lead him to the other teenagers sitting in the food court, eating ice cream. He blushes for a second, and you let go, remembering what Max said about him liking you. "God, this ice cream sucks. Scoops Ahoy was so much better." The group nodded in agreement. "Hey nerds, do any of you have a dollar?" The group turned around to face a girl, probably about 10 years old. "Erica? No, go away please." Lucas said, rolling his eyes. She rolled her eyes back and began to walk away. "Wait! I have an extra dollar!" You call out, catching her attention. "Don't bother giving her money y/n." You do anyways, introducing yourself as Lucas's friend. "Wow, yet another nerd. Probably reads fan fictions and stuff." She says under her breath. (😏)  As you closed your wallet, the $100 dollar bill in it fell to the table, causing everyone to look at you in shock. You quickly put in back, "It's um, my dads rent money, yeah I um, have to hold onto it until he gets off work." You say nervously. "Who exactly is your dad?" Mike asked, as Max elbowed him underneath the table. "U-um Mark. Mark um. L/n." The group raised an eyebrow in confusion. Everyone knew everyone in this town and this was definitely not a heard of name. "Hey, can we go to H&M? I need new clothes." Elle said, interrupting. "Same! Let's go together!" You say, grabbing her arm. You see the 011 brand, stopping in your tracks.

That's when it started.
The love. The empathy. The want to belong.

She went through pain. She went through loss. She went through being called a monster. To being used for her capabilities. Y/n wanted nothing more than to tell her, me too.

"So you and mike? I saw you holding hands!"
Elle blushed a light red and nodded
"Yeah, I guess." She said quietly. You giggle as you try on a MTV shirt. "So, howd you meet them?" You ask her. She suddenly gets really nervous, fumbling with her fingers. "I helped them find Will when he was kidnapped." You nod, pretending to show empathy for the lies. "Um. Me and everyone were talking. My dads out of- um out of town." She said tearing up. She was talking about the dead Jim Hopper. "And Max and I wanted to have a big sleepover. Maybe at your house?"

"Well yeah, of course!"

This was going to be too easy. All you had to do was drug them at the sleepover and take Elle. The gate shouldn't open until then, right?
