We watch from higher up, not interfering with the fight. I gasp when she cuts off his head, eating the human Eren whole.

"Are we going in now?" I ask, watching in horror.

"No, hold off."

The female Titan starts to jog away, and we follow closely behind, but not enough that we could be destroyed within a second. A figure flies passed me and I immediately know who it is.

"Mikasa!" I yell out, speeding up to try and stop her. "Don't!"

The female Ackerman flies around with the same grace as Levi, cutting her enough to knock the Titan to the ground. She goes for the nape, breaking her blade. The female Titan gets back up, taking a swing at Mikasa before jogging off again.

"Wait!" she screams out at the Titan. We finally catch up by the time she attempts to go after her again. Levi grabs her, holding the dark haired girl, bent on murder, back.

"Stay back for now," he commands her. He lets her go so she can keep pace alongside us as we follow her. "Maintain this distance. She must be worn out, too. She's not so fast anymore." He's right. Her movements are almost sluggish. "It looked like she bit the entire nape off. Is Eren dead?"

"He's alive," she replies with determination. She explains that the Titan wants Eren alive for whatever reason, otherwise she would've crushed him. I have to agree at that logic.

"This would've never happened in the first place if you would've actually protected Eren," she jabs at Levi. I stay out of this argument when Levi gasps, going closer to the other Ackerman.

"Ah, you're the one...you're the childhood friend." He puts distance between them again. "Let's narrow our goals down to one. First, forget about taking her down."

"She's killed so many of our comrades!" Mikasa protests.

"She has leverage with Eren. We can't kill her," I reply, not looking over at her. We hadn't really made eye contact since I publicly said I didn't like her. Hopefully Eren gave her the memo that it wasn't personal.

"Eliora is right, alongside the fact that it's impossible. She can harden her skin. Do as I say. We are going to set all of our hopes on Eren still being alive and rescue him before she leaves the forest." It didn't occur to me until he said that, be once she's out of the forest, our ODM gear is useless and we will fail. "I'll do the cutting," he says, lifting his sword up. "You two do the distracting. Remain on opposite sides."

We speed up, Mikasa and I going ahead. She goes lower, in front of her feet, while I go above the right ear, trying to keep her attention off of Levi on the left. I flit to the left, cutting her lightly on the nose, but she turns on the Captain still. He anticipates this, using his swords to slice up her arms instead of being hit with a large Titan fist. She doesn't see him again until both his blades are going into her eyes. He refills his swords, slicing up her lower body. I can't even keep track of him visually. She falls against one of the trees, thoroughly cut up from his onslaught.

Mikasa and I back off, watching in awe at his technique. He said it would be impossible to kill her, but this is the first time I've really seen Levi Ackerman, the legend in action. We could try, can't we?

He cuts her hands down, away from her nape. Mikasa looks at me, waiting to see if I'll stop her, but I just nod. She shoots down, wanting to kill the Titan.

"Stop!" Levi yells out, covered in blood that isn't his. She gasps when her name solidifies and I let out one of my own. Her hand doesn't mean shit.

I grab Mikasa when the Titan lifts her hand to swipe, Levi coming to shield us both. He jumps from her hand, cutting her mouth open, watching in surprise at Eren cocooned in gunk. Levi grabs him, and we jump to higher ground.
