We spend the next two nights exploring each other, both happy for the relief in the Scout regiment. While the first night was rough and I got really sore, the next days were spent with him being slow and caring, showing me what he likes as well so I can help back. One thing he wouldn't address is pulling out. I'm terrified of motherhood and having a child, and the total disregard from Levi was annoying, especially since he looked horrified when he thought I was pregnant before our wedding.

His hand stroke my naked hip, laying on his side beside me. We stare at each other, most likely not thinking of the same thing. He's probably thinking of how good it's been, while I'm worried over having a possible family, and having to slow down. Guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.

"Why are you being reckless?" I ask softly, my words causing his hand to still.

"Reckless about what?" he asks but I know he understands what I'm referring to.

"We can't have a baby right now. We're one step closer to sealing Wall Maria, but I want to be there to see it, Levi. Even if it takes twenty years."

He looks down, his eyes on my stomach. "You won't get pregnant."

"Oh yes, because you can even order your sperm around," I mutter sarcastically. "Levi, you're being reckless. I don't care if it's a turn on to not pull out or you don't want the mess, but—" He cuts me off.

"Scout regiment women don't get pregnant. The training is too intense. The stress is too much. Until you decide to settle down, your body will not sustain a baby." I look away. My mind had never thought about the woman in the Scout regiment not conceiving. Obviously some of them had sex. I guess I assumed all got eaten before showing. Hange has been around a long time, I'll ask her when I see her next.

"Do you want a baby?" I ask, barely meeting his eyes. This is something we probably should've discussed before rushing into marriage.

"It's not up to me."

I kick him softly in his good leg. "It's a joint decision."

Suddenly, I'm pinned again the mattress, his hands restraining my wrists. It isn't romantic, he's actually holding me down. "If you got pregnant," he says lowly, "and I told you to drink the tea, would you?" I turn my head, not wanting to meet his eyes. "Answer me, Eliora."

"No!" I shout back at him. "You asked me to not drink the tea."

His eyes widen, and he lets off of me. I sit up, pulling the covers over my naked breasts.

"Levi, I'll take into account what you want, too, as far as kids go."

He shakes his head. "I think having a child for me to leave behind when I die is unnecessary. If you never settle down, you can remain in whatever position you're in." I know he's right, but for some reason, it hurt that he thought I'd just sweep his death away like that. Even before we had patched things up, I would've been upset if he had died, seeing as I wouldn't have been able to get things off my chest. In the end, I didn't need a big blow out with him to get over it.

"Tch," he spits out, pulling me against his naked body, wrapping the blanket around us. It's our last hour together, and we need to shower and dress, leaving preferably before the innkeeper arrives as we messed up the bed pretty bad.

We both dress, Levi finished first as his hands trail up under my dress while I'm trying to put it on. "Levi, you're so unhelpful." I struggle with material, it bunching around my armpits. I hear him scoff, but a minute later, I'm able to see daylight again, and the stiff fabric of my pale blue dress falls gracefully onto my hips. He looks down appreciatively, his hands going to my waist, pulling me against him.
