Who is to blame?

You caress my tear stained cheeks,
You continue to ask me to speak.
What should I say,
I'm too  afraid.

We stare straight through glass,
Until it starts to crack,
But sometimes,
we just don't care.

Now that you have seen my scars,
What will you do,
I want to know,
Will you throw my heart away.
It's already bruised.

We can continue to point the blame,
But it will always remain the same,
You will blame depression,
You will take me to therapy session.

But you will give up,
When the going gets tough.
Maybe I'm wrong,
Maybe you'll stay,
I think of this as you wipe away a stray tear,
Maybe you do care.

But don't blame depression,
It's not at fault.
Blame the people that claimed the battles that we fought.
