Plain Sight

You think what you're doing is right,
But you don't know,
What I go through every night.
Every time I cry,
I go some where and hide.
The truth is there, I cannot deny,
I still feel worthless inside.

I live my life by a lie,
I told you, you did not listen,
So in my secrets I confine,
watching the blade as it glistens.

I gently thug,
A trickle of blood appears,
They look at me and I shrug,
I wish I could disappear.

I'll try not to run,
I'll try not to hide,
I'll try not to cry,
I'm hiding in plain sight.
