Sade listen to me,
That boy is no good for you.
What has he got to offer?
Nothing worth holding on to.
Sade I want the best for you,
I'm your friend, I can't watch you go astray.
What would people say,
That you discarded all with potential for one who has lost his way.
If this is love then it's a sham,
Sade you deserve much better than this good for nothing scam.
What has he done to make you lose your mind,
What happened to the girl who dated much better than his kind?
Oh my friend, I've heard all the words you've said this day,
Even the ones you haven't said, I know what they'll say.
How did I come to love someone like this
When all I've wanted was someone higher than this.
But the things of the heart one can't comprehend,
How it all happened I really don't understand.
One minute I was here and he was over there,
Then the next we looked into each other's eyes and it took off from there.
Somethings go while some are meant to stay.
Who knows, this affair might not last the day
But while it's here, I plan to enjoy it all the way
And when it's done, there'll be no regrets at large or at bay.
