Chapter 20/Hunting for Hunter

PAYTON'S POV

"HUNTER ! where the hell are you going !?! get back in this car !" I yelled at hunter but he wouldn't listen.
We were stopped at a stop light and he freaks out and gets out of the car ? what's up with him ? I hope he's ok. I wanted to follow him but the light changed and he just ran off.
I turned around to see if I could find which way he went but it was no use. I couldn't see him. I lost hunter ! I didn't know what to do so I just drove back to the studio hoping everyone was still there.

I ran through the studio frantically "Hello !? sam !? Betsy ?! Andy ! Matt ! are you guys still here !?"

"Back here ?" I heard one of them yell

"You guys help !" I ran to them

"Whoa calm down ! what happened ?" Devo asked

"It's hunter ! well I- I don't know what happened ! he just flipped out and when we were at a stop light he just freaked and jumped out of the car and ran off. He told me he needed air and he was shaking ! I tried to look for him but I didn't see him. I would have followed him but I couldn't, I'm sorry." I said still acting like a lunatic

"What do you mean he flipped out ? what exactly happened. Start from when you guys left" sam said concerned

I was still breathing a little heavy from running around
"We got in my car and he seemed bothered by something. I asked what he the only thing he said was he felt that you guys were lying to him right before he left with me. I lied, again and told him not to worry. He seemed fine like normal but then he started looking around while we were stopped and then started breathing heavy and opened the door and told me he needed air. He got out and stood there for a minute and shook his head and then it looked like he started to cry, and the he just took off." I took a deep breathe and let it out

"We need to find him. " Sam said worriedly

"Payton you me and sam will go back to where hunter took off. Matt Devo and Steve can you guys go check his apartment. ?" Betsy asked

"Yeah that's fine. If he's there or not we will call and let you know" Matt said grabbing his keys

We all headed out to look for hunter. I retraced my steps with sam and Betsy in the car narrating to them as I drove.

"See right here is where he flipped out" I said pulling off to the side parking my car.

Sam had a strange look on his face. So did Betsy. Was I missing something ?

"He ran off that way" I pointed up the side walk

"This isn't good" sam said to Betsy

"What ?" I asked confused

"This is the intersection where hunter crashed. if you were right then his dream was memory and he just remembered that this was where e had his accident." Sam said

I got insanely worried. What if he realizes we have been lying to him"We have to fine him. What if he am remember everything ? he shouldn't be alone"

"No he shouldn't." Betsy said.

"I hope he's not mad. What if he does know everything. He's going to hate us. He's probably confused." Sam said

"Hang on" Betsy said pulling her phone out. I'm guessing it was Matt cause she answered immediately

"Is he there ?" I heard her ask

"Oh alright. Maybe check some places around there. Parks or something. We will go look at some coffee shops" she said then hanging up.

"He wasn't there ?" sam asked clearly disappointed

"No. He wasn't. We'll find him, he's gotta be somewhere." She said

"But where ? Where else could he be ?" Sam was obviously worried and frustrated.

"Maybe he's at a record store ? or some place that has any type of musical Instrument" I said

"We could go to the one downtown. It's not that far from here." Betsy said.

We all got back in my car and drove to the record shop downtown. We walked in and looked around but didn't see him. Sam asked the store workers if they had seen him and unfortunately they said no.

We were all disappointed. Sam was getting more worried by the minute. And so was Betsy and I, we were trying to think of where he could be. A terrible thought occurred in my mind but I didn't want to bring it up. What if hunter remembered everything like everything and he's already tried to harm himself once what if he was going to do it again. Or had already done it. Matt said he wasn't at his apartment but how could they be sure ? did they go in and check every room ?

"Maybe we should split up. I was thinking that I could check some places he's played before. It might be racing to him so maybe he went there." Betsy spoke up.

"Good idea. Me and Payton can keep looking around here" sam said.

"Ok call me if you fine him." She gave sam a hopeful smile

"I will, let us know if you here anything" sam gave her a good luck smile and she started off to look for hunter.

I honestly couldn't think of where he would go ? the only thing I could think of that he liked was music and coffee and he wasn't anywhere to be found in those places.

"Sam do you think he may have went back to the studio ? I mean think about it, it's his second home and we've been looking for him for a little while now. Maybe he ran off caught his breath and then walked back but we were already gone." I said hopefully

"He might. Let's go back and check. It couldn't hurt." Sam smiled and got back in the car.

I really hope where ever hunter was he was ok. He deserved an explanation to all of this and he shouldn't be alone right now. He was emotionally unstable. I just hope that we find him before it's to late.
