Y/N Pov:
I have been in this lab now for a year and I am going insane. I finally learned all the powers I have. So I have the power to read minds and put words in people's heads but they have to be in more of a range and I can't signal anyone outside of the lab. I also have powers like El where I can move stuff and do things with my mind. And finally, I have the ability to set fire. With that, I can throw fireballs and I can set myself on fire and I don't get burned. I am shocked by the powers I have and I never thought I can do so much. Since I have discovered my powers they have been sending me into the upsidown. They made me reopen the gate and they sent me in to explore. The longest I have been there was 2 weeks straight. I'm getting sick and tired of doing everything they ask and I have been punished so much my body is numb. They have made me kill people and animals and It's horrifying. I plan on trying to escape tonight but if I get caught I can't imagine the punishment I will get. I am doing another burn today which is where I use my fire powers to control the gate. After that, I will act like I am drained and then when Its night I will use my powers to unlock the door and make a run for it. I want to see my family and my friends and Will.
Time Skip To Night Y/N Pov:
It is now night time and when I said I was tired they beat me up so if I end up escaping I am not going to look the best. I am laying in my bed fake sleeping and I am waiting for the right moment. I wish I am able to say goodbye to Froyd but he would stop me from escaping. I know he will be happy that I got out though because he tells me a lot how sorry he is for everything. The hallways sound quiet so I get out of my bed and I unlock the doors with my powers and I slowly open it and the hallways are empty. I take a deep breath and I take a run for it. My feet smack against the cold floor and I feel how much pain my feet are in since I haven't worn a pair of shoes in over a year. I push through the doors and I see 2 guards standing there and I quickly snap both of their necks with my powers. I feel tired and drained but I am not stopping. I see the exit and I sprint to it and its locked. No no no this can't be happening now I think to myself. I am so drained but I need to leave so I use my powers and the doors fly off their hinges and I continue to run. I finally see outside and I make it out. I am still surrounded by fences so I make it to a fence and I shred it open. I haven't been outside in over a year either so this air felt great. I am now sprinting and I see people from the lab run outside with guns looking for me but with the speed, I am going I am not stopping anytime soon. Since I have lost so much weight In the lab I now look like a stick but I can sure run fast. I make it into the woods and I hide behind this big log so I can catch my breath. I lay there for a while so I can take a stick that stabbed into my foot out and let it heal. I get back up and I need to keep running so I start to run again. I don't know where I am going but I do know that I need to get far from the lab. I run for another 2 hours until I collapse on the floor gasping for air. I need to rest so I lay down on some leaves and I close my eyes.
I wake up and it is now day and I feel like shit. I need food water and shoes. I am in so much pain everywhere in my body I feel so weak but I know I need to keep moving. I have no idea where I am but I am somewhere in the woods. I get up and I walk I physically can't run anymore. I get out of the woods and the area I am in is so familiar. I realize that I am in town and I see the coffee shop that I always go to. I quickly walk inside and everyone is staring at me. Most likely because I am in a hospital gown with cuts and bruises all over my body and big scars and my hair is a mess and I have blood on me. I go to the counter and I recognize the person working there and it's Larry the guy who always remembered my orders.
"Larry" I say out of breath
"Y/N!?"
"Yes it's me," I say shakily
"What everyone thinks you are dead they found your body and they had a funeral?"
"Well that body is a fake I am here and alive and I need food and water so please can I have some so I can make my way home?"
"Of course come in the back" He says while opening the counter so I can go in the back.
I sit down in a chair as he hands me the coffee that I always used to order and a bagel. I destroyed that bagel in minutes and it tasted so good. I haven't had real food in so long. After telling Larry about me being kidnapped and I made sure I kept the lab and powers part out of the story he felt so bad for me.
"Larry what day is it and what time is it?" I ask him in desperation
"Its Saturday and it's 2 o'clock" he answers right back
"Great everyone should be at Mikes thank you so much, Larry, I should be back soon,"
He gave me a water bottle and some treats that I can take on my journey back home and I give him a big hug and I leave. I start to limp to Mike's house getting looks from everyone but I ignore them. Usually, on Saturdays, everyone goes to Mike's house to hang out in his basement so I hope they still do that. I am down the block and I see his house. I start to tear up because so many memories are flooding my head. As I approach it I see all of their bikes outside and the bike that I bought Mike. I go to the basement door and I knock on it out of breath and In pain.
"Who's there?"
"Please open the door!" I beg
"Y/N?!"
