Chapter 8 Night Journeys

Y/N Pov:

Now that I am home and I am comfortable in bed I wanted to do something that I haven't done in such a long time. Everyone in the house is asleep beside me and it's 1 in the morning so it's time to do something fun. I hop out my window and I grab my skateboard and I ride to Max's house. 

When I get there I go to her window and it was open so I hop inside and I see her sleeping on her bed peacefully but that won't last long. I jump on her bed making her bounce around and she finally wakes up. 

"Y/n what are you doing here?"

"We are going on a ride c' mon its been too long," I say while dragging her out of bed

"I really missed you y/n I stopped skating when we thought you died because It isn't as fun without you,"

"Aw but now I'm back so get your shoes on and we are going,"

"Alright but I'm going to be rusty it's been a while,"

"What do you mean I was in that damn lab for over a year I'm worse than you," I say while laughing

"True so I guess we are both going to be rusty,"

"Yes, we are," I say while dragging her outside

We get outside and we start to ride down the streets of Hawkins having a good time. The moon was very bright and it lit up most of the roads. We get into town and everything is closed but that isn't going to stop us from having fun. We stop in front of Larry's coffee shop and I open the door with my powers.

"Y/n this is breaking and entering," Max says trying to get me out of the shop

"I know the owner we can just get some treats and I'll leave a few bucks,"

"Where the hell did you get money from?"

"I have a savings jar in my room that has money in it," I say while grabbing a bunch of pastries

We both get a lot of snacks and I leave $10 and a note that says 'Hey Larry it's y/n I stopped by and your door was open and I was hungry so I took some pastries and I left you $10. I'll see you in the morning love ya.'

"You are so weird," Max says while laughing

"I know but you love me,"

"More than anything," She says while getting back on her skateboard

We continue to ride for a while until Max gets tired so we ride back to her house and I say goodbye and my next stop is Mike's house.

I ride my board all the way to Mike's house and It was always harder getting to his room because he is in the second story of the house but now that I have powers I can do it.

I use my powers to carry this really heavy ladder and I put it under his window and I climb up and I see him laying in bed passed out. His window was locked so I used my powers so unlock it and I climb inside and I pull his blanket off of him and he wakes up immediately.

"Y/n what the hell?"

"Come on Mikey lets go do something," I say while dragging him out of bed

"Like what?"

"I don't know let's just go on a walk and catch up,"

"Let me put on some shoes," He says while grabbing his sneakers

I climb down his ladder first and I hold it at the bottom so he doesn't fall climbing down. When we make it to the bottom I give him a high-five but I interlock our fingers so we are holding hands and I drag him all the way to the park. We sit on the park bench and he starts to tell me about his relationship with El and its so cute.
