Y/N's Pov:
Today was everyone's last day of school and It was only a half-day and it is also the day Dustin leaves for camp which I am sad about. Also, the new mall opens today which I am excited about and I will probably be spending my entire summer there. I wait outside of the high school for my friends to be dismissed and I am getting impatient. Finally, I hear the bell ring and I see them all walking outside and I wave to them. They all run to me and they engulf me in a big hug.
"Yall ready for summer?" I say to them
"Hell yeah," They all respond
I get on my skateboard and so does Max and everyone else gets on their bikes and we ride back to me and Dustin's house. When we get there we go to Dustin's room and we help him pack his bags.
"Dusty we need to go!" My mom screams from the kitchen
"Im going to miss you Dusty," I say while giving him a sad look
"Me too," He says while giving me a sad look
We all walk outside and help Dustin put his luggage in my Mom's car and my Mom has to drive him there.
"Y/n can we talk?" My mom says to me
"Sure,"
We walk to a private part of the house and she says "I really don't want to do this but I am going to be staying with Dustin at his camp because I am going to be a counselor for it, so that means you will be home alone for a month,"
"Wait really," I say trying to hold back my smile
"Yes, really and it will make things easier so I don't have to drive those 2 days there and back but I am going to give you some rules okay?"
"Sure"
"So I don't want you having any big parties and I don't want you to burn down the house with your cooking. Also no funny business between you and Will. I called all of your friends parents and they said if you need anything in this next month go to them,"
"You can trust me, mom," I say while grabbing her hand
"If anything happens call me and I will come home as soon as possible okay? And I am leaving you $500 that you can use this next month for food or anything,"
"Yes mom I love you," I say while giving her a hug
We walk back to the group and they all look sad that Dustin is leaving for a month. Dustin is giving everyone a goodbye hug and he gets to me last.
He pulls me into a super tight hug almost breaking my bones.
"I love you y/n and make sure you call me every other day,"
"I love you too Dusty and I won't forget,"
We pull away from the hug and he says to Will "Remember the rules I gave you,"
"Yup," Will says
I am confused about what rules is he talking about, whatever it's not important. Will pulls me into a hug while Dustin drives off.
"Guys guess what?" I say while pulling away from the hug
"What?" They all say
"My mom is staying with Dustin at his camp as a counselor so I get the entire house to myself for a month," I say with a huge grin on my face
All of their jaws drop and Max says "You know what this means?"
"A big ass party is going to happen!" I say which makes everyone laugh
