Chapter 15 Goodbye

Will's Pov:

I am extremely worried about y/n since we know now that the mind flayer is back. It is targeting El because of her powers so that means it is targeting y/n too and she has more powers so she's probably the mind flayer's biggest priority. We haven't seen her in over a day and I even stopped by her house and no one was home. I went to Scoops Ahoy too and no one was there not even Steve and Robin. I go back to Mike's house and everyone is freaking out in the basement about what happened the night before with Billy and the sauna. We hear a knock at the basement door and Mike opens it and It was Nancy and my brother. I really hoped it was y/n but maybe they know something about where she is. 

Y/N's Pov:

We have been walking in this tunnel for 3 hours now and I am feeling a little better. I am recharged now so I can use my powers again and we are getting close to something. We approach this giant area where there are Russians walking around everywhere so we all hide behind a big barrel. Erica said she saw a communication room and when the coast was clear we took a run for the room. Once we get inside there is a Russian sitting in a chair and he turns around to face us. Robin starts to speak Russian to him but that didn't work and he was reaching for his gun until Steve screams and he starts to fight the Russian. After a few back and forth hits he knocks the Russian out.

"Steve you did you, you won a fight," Dustin says which makes me laugh.

Dustin grabs the key card off the Russian and Robin says "Guys come check this out,"

We follow her up the stairs and we see something that makes my stomach do flips. We see the gate being opened. Steve, Dustin, and I all look at each other knowing that that is.

"We need to get out of here and tell Hopper and the military," Dustin says

When we walk down the stairs Erica says "Umm Steve where is your Russian friend,"

As soon as she finishes talking an alarm goes off. "Fuck they know we are here" 

Russians start to come in the room and we all run back up the stairs and into the room with the gate. We run down the stairs bumping into Russians and knocking them over. I throw a few fireballs at some of the guards but that doesn't stop the never-ending flow of them. We get into a room and I hold the door with Steve and Robin runs to help us hold it closed. Dustin and Erica open a floorboard and Erica hops in the vent Dustin starts to get in it. I yell at Robin to get in the vent with them and she runs to it and gets in. 

"Steve you need to go in the vent I can hold them back but go get help please!" I scream at him

"I can't leave you y/n I can't lose you again!"

"Steve you have to It's the only way we can all make it out of here alive!"

"Y/n I am not leaving you they can get help and we can fight back the Russians!"

"Steve come on!" Robin screams at him while standing in the vent

"Steve go please I can hold them off get out of here and get Hopper, he will send the military and they can close the gate. I can try and escape remember I have powers!"

Steve finally gives in and he runs to the vent. I see tears in his eyes as he closes the vent when he gets in and I got distracted and the Russians busted down the door. I do flying across the room and I get up getting ready to throw fire at them and I feel a sharp pain in my chest. I look down and I see blood starting to stain my shirt. Shit did I just get shot I think to myself and I fall to the floor and I blackout.

Dustin's Pov:

We are all in the vents right now and these ones are bigger so we can all fit in it. Steve gets in and he starts to cry and so does Robin. We heat a gunshot go off and that's when I lose it. I cover my mouth with my hands trying not to let out a loud sob. Erica is even tearing up which is rare. After a while, we all calm down and we start to move down the vent. We make it to a fan and we can't get through unless the fan is off. I take out my mini screwdriver and I open the fan's power box and I start to work on getting the fans off. After a while of proving Erica is a nerd, I got the fans to stop. We all continue our way through the vents hoping to find a way to save y/n.
