Chapter 4 Baldy

Y/N Pov:

I am currently getting punished because I have been having trouble finding my powers and when I don't find them I get punished. I feel like I have been in this lab for years but I've only been here for about a week. Every day is a struggle and I can't find my powers. They are now dragging me to the punishment room and they are going to shock me which doesn't phase me anymore. They throw me in this closet of a room and this asshole guard who loves to torture me smiles as he approaches me with this long stick that has electricity at the end and I call it zappy sticky. He starts to shock me and It hurts so bad but I am used to it. The voltages are so high that it leaves burn marks on my skin. After about 10 minutes of being shocked, he finally stops and he gives me a smack across the face which makes me snap my neck to the left and he leaves the room locking me inside. I just sit in the corner of the room and I let out a heavy sigh and I try and get some rest. I don't get much rest until Froyd comes into the closet and he says.

"Nine are you willing to cooperate now and find your powers?" 

"Maybe if you call me by my real name which is y/n just in case you forgot maybe I will cooperate!" I snap back at him

"I will call you y/n only this once and if you don't find your powers I will go back to calling you Nine got it?" 

"Yes, Froyd," I say while getting up off the ground and I follow him to the testing room. 

"We are going to be testing to see if your power can help you read minds or send messages to someone without talking,"

"Mhm," I mumble knowing that it isn't going to work.

He sends in a bald guy who is wearing normal clothes and he is sitting right in front of me.

"What's up baldy?" I say with a smirk on my face to the bald guy

"Stupid bitch," He says in his mind and I hear it but I thought he said it out loud

"You're a stupid bitch too," I say snapping back at him

"Y/n you did it!" Froyd said out loud

"All I did was curse back at baldy here," 

"But the thing is he didn't say it out loud he said it in his head," He says to me with a proud grin on his face.

"What are you serious?" I say getting a little excited 

"Yes good job Nine," He says and when he says Nine that brings my mood down. 

"It's y/n!" 

"Fine y/n now that you read his mind you are going to try and talk through his mind and send words into his head and he will tell us if it works alright?"

"Mhm ready baldy?"

"Bitch," He says in his mind again

"You might as well say it out loud because I can read minds ya know," I say with a smirk causing Froyd to giggle.

I think hard to myself and I think about the guy in front of me and I try and put the words "Your head is blinding me try and grow some hair,"

I open my eyes and I see he is giving me a bitchy glare.

"She said 'Your head is blinding me try and grow some hair',"

"Good job y/n we will practice some more tomorrow but we are still going to test you for different powers to see if you have more, and now that you have learned to channel your powers you might be able to get your other powers to work,"

"Mhm thanks for calling me y/n keep it up and bye baldy the grinch," I say while being dragged out of the room by guards.

They take me to my actual room this time and they slam the door shut sending me to the floor. I can't believe I just read his mind and I put words in his head if I ever get out of here this is really going to help me mess with my friends. I really hope they are okay and they aren't too worried about me. I miss them all so much I really miss my brother but mostly I miss Will.

I miss his eyes that spoke words to me

his hair that was so soft

his jawline that can cut paper

his lips that were so soft

his arms that always kept me warm

his everything

Will's Pov:

After everyone calmed down since we heard the news about her body I decide to go check up on Dustin. I slowly knock on his door and I hear him sniffling

"Dustin, it's me Will can I come in?"

"I guess"

I open his sliding door and I see him on the floor leaning against his bed and I walk in and I sit down next to him. 

"Will It's all my fault I am so stupid," Dustin says as he breaks down 

"No, it's not Dustin it was just heat of the moment stuff and you got angry but it's not your fault of what happened," I say while pulling him into a hug.

I start to tear up because I never heard Dustin cry like this before. It breaks my heart since he thinks it's his fault. I don't blame anyone for what happened to her but I do blame the assholes that beat her to death. Soon I see everyone walk into Dustin's room and we all have a big group hug. We all start to cry again because we lost a party member one of the best ones. 

After a while of calming down again, everyone was getting ready to leave. Hopper just talked to Dustin's mom and that was heartbreaking to see. Everyone gives Dustin one last hug and we all get on our bikes and ride home.

When I finally get home I see my Mom and brother in the kitchen and I lose it. I start to cry again and they come up to me and pull me into a hug asking whats wrong. 

"They found her, she's gone," I say in between sobs.

My Mom and Jonathan both loved y/n and they considered her one of their own because they know how she always takes care of me and she also helps my Mom around the house and she does photography with Jonathan. Jonathan starts to make dinner while my mom helps me in my room. I lay down on my bed and I put my face in my pillow but all I could see was the happy moments I had with y/n. 

I get called to dinner but I have no appetite so I sit this dinner out and the rest of the night I spent in my room trying to sleep but I got none.
