Wow! 50 years of UFO! Hard to imagine. As stated, I know it is 50 but it's hard to think it is actually made that long ago because it looks visually so advanced even today. With the show being repeated recently on Forces TV, recent merchandise includes the 50th Anniversary poster from the Gerry Anderson website (with more exclusive merchandise there) and Pencil Tip Publishing releasing views from fans for hopefully 2021 after publishing versions of Blake's 7 and Torchwood. The series was also made available for streaming on Britbox from Thursday 20th August 2020 along with the original Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Space: 1999. On 1st September, Fanderson announced their own UFO Annual - UFO Annual 1972 - exclusive to Fanderson members - to be released by the show's 50th anniversary day (16th September).

Again, re-watching the series again in the Summer and yeah, still love it as much as I've always had. As a result, of course, Century 22 has produced some excellent stories in The Possessed, the Vault book of course, and a movie adaptation of the series. One of the best shows on television of all time, I would just love to express that inner fanboy nerdiness if I can in writing, but yes I love this show with all my hearts (yes on my Wattpad location I'm from Gallifrey in the Constellation of Kasterberous). A timeless and magical classic that is proud to be celebrating its 50-year legacy, and will continue to delight further generations for many, many more years yet to come.
