I had wandered around for weeks in an animalistic state, almost forgetting myself. In my new found demon form I didn't have to read or eat like I did when it was suppressed, but I couldn't control it, well not when I started at least. I've learned a few things since I've begun my travels.
I was knocked from my demonic state by a group of feral rogue cat demons, who had let their demonic instincts consume the rational part of themselves.
We fought and I clung desperately to the energy as I fought to live. In the end, it wasn't enough. With 4 against 1, I was left dirty and unconscious, barely alive in the middle of an open field. That's where I stayed as my body tried to piece itself back together. I dreamed in that time.
I am alone. It is dark and wet and I am scared. I lay at the bottom of a damp hole, water pouring ontop of me from above. Something from in the darkness dropped next to me and I screamed, wailing. I think I am a baby. A voice cooed at me and gently cradled me closer. "I love you Ai, never forget that." A dark void consumed my sight.
Rin's Pov
I was playing in lord sesshomaru's garden when I heard noises, lord Sesshomaru doesn't like me to stray to far from the house, but he's not home right now! I peeked out from behind the wall of shrubs that enclosed the garden and saw a girl, lying on the ground and bleeding.
My eyes widened and I stumbled over to the pretty lady, and proceeded to drag her by a leg until I had her behind the shrubs. I huffed in some deep breaths because she was heavy.
Humming in thought I promised her that I'd be right back and ran off to find some of the maids to help.
Running inside I found my favorite maid, Aya. I snuck up behind her and grabbed her hand, violently shaking her arm with both of mine.
"AYA!!!" I shouted.
Bewildered she turned around, the one eye not behind the eye patch widening.
"Yes dear?" She whispered in her small voice.
Grinning widely and giving her my best puppy eyes,
"Can you come help my new friend?" I pleaded.
"Well...I guess I have a few moments to spare." Aya relented.
Nodding vigorously, I drug her out to the garden where the pretty blonde girl lay with red pooling underneath her Snow White skin.
Gasping, I watched Aya kneel down in front of the sleeping girl and touch her tentatively. The girl flinched and a low whine left her mouth. Aya sighed, and hoisted the girl up into her arms, being gentle of course, and started walking towards the manor.
"Come on Rin." She urged.
I ran behind her, leaving my toys abandoned in the garden.
I watched as Aya was joking with Anna, her twin sister. Together the two of them laid the girl on a bed in the guest bedroom, and started tending to her wounds.
Anna started undressing the girl, and Aya turned to me.
"Rin would you please step out of the room, your friend will be in good hands. I promise." She smiled kindly at me.
I hesitated, not wanting to leave her side, but relented and slipped out of the room to go find master Jaken. I should probably warn him of our visitor, but he'll find out soon enough.
Giggling to myself, I decided to keep it a surprise.
Ai's pov
I woke up suddenly and with a start. Sitting up right I started growling and slashing blindly with my claws, pupils dilating and starting to glow.
Until a small voice whimpered from somewhere.
Calming myself, I let my eyes and nails return to normal as I realized I was no longer fighting for my life. I had shredded the pretty bedding of the comfortable bed I was laying in and had apparently startled a small child.
Smiling softly at the girl, I motioned her closer.
"I'm sorry to have scared you, I must've had a bad dream." I lied gently.
The child frowned up at me.
"Why were you bleeding? I found you outside." She peered up with big brown eyes.
My smile faltered as I looked down at myself. Flushing red, I pulled the ripped blankets up around myself to hide, I was naked with a few strips of bandages around my middle and my skeleton key necklace was back around my neck.
"I was attacked." I put simply, I didn't know how old she was and didn't want to frighten her with gruesome details.
She hummer and frowned a little more.
"Can I have my clothes back?" I pleaded.
She shook her head,
"Your clothes were ruined. Don't worry though! Aya is getting you new clothes!" Her mood instantly brightened.
I nodded and frowned not being able to sense my demonic aura and frowned in pain when I moved and felt my would re-open. I removed my key and held it in my hand, sighing in relief when my power started to restore and I started to self heal. The key suppressed my demonic aura.
I didn't feel as strong as before, it would take me a few days at least, but I'd work through it.
That's when the door opened to reveal a tall lady with soft blue hair and a red eye, the other one hidden behind a black eye patch.
"Thank you Aya!" Run grinned at the petite woman.
Aya simple smiled at the child before walking over to me with a bundle of clothes and frowned down at the ruined sheets. Tsking She motioned for me to follow her. Maybe she was mute?
I gently got to my feet and immediately crumpled to the ground in pain. Aya sighed and came over, helping me stand and making sure I could hold my weight up before walking away again. I followed her down several stories, until we were underneath the home.
"There is a bath ready for you." Aya said softly, averting her eyes from meeting mine, bowing and walking away.
Walking into the bath room. I smiled down at the steamy pool. The bath was a huge hole in the ground, heated with boiled water, and their were flowers and herbs floating in the water.
I sunk into the hot water and flinched as my wounds hit it. I leaned back against the wall and relaxed my muscles for a moment. I watched as dirt washed away from my skin and clouded the water. I can't remember the last time I've had a bath, probably when I left home.
I sunk under the water and began washing my hair with some of the soaps I found at the edge of the bath.
After I finished washing myself, I dried off, and began dressing. The kimono that was left for me was beautiful and elegant. It was white, floor length, with silver trim. It had silver flowers sitting across it and the sleeves fell past my hands. It made me look like ethereal in my opinion.
I began walking up the stairs to return to the borrowed room, when Aya and a girl that looked like her, but had an eye patch on the opposite eye, stopped me.
"The Lord is home." They said in unison.
Ushering me back down below.
