Chapter 11

I was bored while Sesshomaru was away, I had grown accustomed to being in his presence most days and nights. I frowned at myself, he was his own person, I didn't own him. Even if I wanted to sometimes. His emotion wasn't a new game for me to play.
I sighed again, a walk would do me good. I pulled on my shaw and stepped out into the night air, waving at Aya at the door,
"If I'm not back by sunrise tell Rin that I had matters to attend to." I waved and trotted along my way. I didn't realize where I was going until I was already standing within the large iron gates, the Fox clan compound.
I walked around, exploring the old buildings. I should probably start moving in, Sesshomaru is probably getting tired of me, I deducted. I ran him out of his own home.
My frown deepened, I'll let him know when he returns.
I huffed, mildly annoyed when a strong gust of wind chilled me. I turned and made eye contact with the scraggly old man.
"I've been waiting for you." I stated, bored.
"I've been watching you." He croaked, creepily.
"What is it that you want from me?" I questioned and stalked around him.
"Your soul, stupid wench." He hissed.
"I'm going to do what my henchmen couldn't, finish off the once noble fox clan." He growled.
"How do you plan on doing that? You're just a scrawny old man." I taunted, poised on the ground for attack.
"Oh not me dear, all of them." He gestured around, and then I felt the overwhelming presence. All of the dead members of my family and clan, ghosts trapped on this plane of existence.
I paled, but kept my face blank.
"You're sick, keeping all of the souls here." I spat.
"Don't fret, dear. You'll be joining them soon." And with a booming laugh, he disappeared. Still close enough to watch, I felt him.
With a deep breath, I faced the wave of ghosts coming at me, I would free them so they could pass on.

-meanwhile somewhere else-

Sesshomaru growled in mild annoyance as he led an army from the North on a march towards Naraku. He didn't want to lie to Ai, but she had her own shit to deal with and it was better he didn't get to close with her in case something happened to him.
Naraku has been a pain in his side since he became a half demon. It was time to put a stop to him, even if he had to deal with the cat clan, specifically Nanami. She always tried to feel him up. Nasty.
He stopped, holding an arm out. The soldiers behind him ceased their marching. He could hear the distant sounds of battle in the distance, and with a flick of his arm, the soldiers charged onwards with a war cry.
He waited until the last line passed him before gliding around, wanting to see how their side fared before joining in.
To his surprise, his side was winning. He spotted his half brother and Ai's sister fighting up close with the stinking half demon. He nodded in their direction, and with a growl he transformed into his demon self and launched himself into the battle. For Ai.

-afterwards somewhere else-

Ai was laying on her back, bloodied and broken. Huffing and staring up at the sky in a daze. She had fought for hours, not that it did her any good against ghosts. They were surrounding her now, but she was too tired to go on.
All at once, the ghosts started vanishing in balls of bright light. Leaving one, her mother standing before her.
"Thank you, my sweet daughter." She sighed, and then was gone.
Ai was confused, but too disoriented to make anything of it. With a last shuddering breath, she closed her eyes and let the world turn black.

-meanwhile somewhere else-

Bodies scattered the ground, many dead or injured. However, the battle was over. Kagome has succeeded in killing Naraku and completing the sacred jewel. Immediately after Kagome had completed the jewel she disappeared without a trace.
Inuyasha was a mess, and in a rage ran off.
Sesshomaru was injured, but would be fine due to his demonic abilities. He stood, and left the battle field in a hurry to get home to his Ai. To explain to her what happened. 

AN: know the ending is going to be rushed, and I hate that. This story was really just created to help me get back into writing :( I haven't taken anytime with it, but I've had fun. Thank you for reading! P.s. there will be one more chapter! I also promise that the next story will be better :) I've already started on it and it's actually been thought out! I love you guys!
