Niall's POV
I stood in front of a large, old house with a feeling of excitement as the real estate, I contacted, agent pulled into the driveway and got out of her car.
Today I was out in the market, looking for a place of my own. And since being put in One Direction, my career, and life have taken off with four other guys who mean the world to me.
Now, I do like living with the other three boys, those being Zayn, Harry and Louis. But I felt that at the age of nineteen, I had to get used to the experience of living alone. Besides, the boys could always come for a visit and we'll still be doing interviews and concerts together. Liam lived with his girlfriend Daniel who isn't, shall I say, the nicest person on Earth.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Horan, I'm glad you took interest in this house. It's been on the market for quite some time."
I nod, looking at a seemingly dilapidated house, "I saw it in the ads and just had to come see it, thought, looks like it could use some love and care." I say at the poor condition of the house. The agent smiles understandingly while she adjusts her glasses.
Ms. Sommers, the agent I'm meeting with, is an average looking lady with brown hair and an angular face. She could be a model for something, she'd just have to take her hair out of that bun and give the boys a few winks.
Ms. Sommers then came to stand next to me as I stood there looking at the house. My estate agent then started for the house with a wave of the hand telling me to follow her, so I did. This house, up for sale, has an grey stone exterior, white panel windows with chipping paint, a yard with patches of dirt and overgrown shrubs, and it looked like some shingles needed to be replaced. There seemed to be about three floors to the place and I can see in the middle part of the house, that there are fireplaces by the two chimneys on the west and east ends of the house. The front door faces the north and a dirt road that lead you deeper into the countryside.
"Now as you can see, the house does need a little bit of work on the outside but the inside has been completely redone." The agent says, opening the door to bare white walls and a basic wooden plank floor with a polished finish. I can't say I don't like it, but I would like to make some changes.
"Ms. Sommers?" I ask, "are the walls insulated?"
"Yes, we had a team tear out the walls, so they could do some electrical work." The agent said.
"And," she began, "you can call me, Beth."
Beth Sommers gave me a little smile as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. While I knew myself to be a bit oblivious to people hitting on me, I know for a fact that I'm gay and find other men hot. My band mates know that as well as our management, Simon and my family. While the support has been great from everyone in my life, the problem with that, is that because One Direction became so big, I have to hide my sexuality until management deems it safe enough to come out of the closet. But as my agent leads us into a living room, type, space, I finally question her what I'm most curious about.
"Would it be okay for me to put on paint and wallpaper? I love this house already, but I want to know how much freedom I got with it."
"Oh, complete freedom, the only restriction is that you try not blow the place up."
We chuckle at her joke and continued to walk through the house, I now plan on buying. I have millions of dollar in my bank, so money won't be an issue, but a financial adviser told me that it would be better to just take out a mortgage. So if I do end up buying this place, all I need to do afterwards is get my things from my flat I share with the boys.
