'it's one delectable addiction'

"What the hell!" I shriek, "You can't just leave me here with someone I don't know"

My eyes dart angrily between Selena and Rhydian, arms folded protectively over my chest, after Sel and I's time in the bathroom we got dressed and she lead me here to meet Rhydian. Maybe I should have noticed that she was taking me in the direction of the training room, but I was still distracted by the encompassing pleasure I had been exposed too.

Technically the blame of that falls on Selena, because she is the only one that can be held responsible for my frazzled mind and jelly legs, and the place where she bit me is still fresh but has stopped bleeding. She said she'd heal me when we get back to the room but that is not where we ended up clearly.

The room is thankfully bare of all the Vampires that are usually training here, which is essentially their version of armed security, but I don't actually know what their weapons would be like. I doubt bullets work for them; maybe little wooden bullets are there thing. The familiar navy curtains are still draped over the windows, but the light fixtures are bare of the usual chandeliers.

"If you're going to whine the whole time, I'll stay" Rhydian sighs, "Sel please get everything organised for the guest, you know how she is"

She nods, gives me a tight smile and leaves the room in a flash. I think I hate her for leaving me here with them, irritation blooms in my chest at the grimace etched onto Rhydian's handsome face.

"Why am I here?" I ask, failing at hiding my annoyance. Eyeing the tall man, dark features and curled hair cut short against his scalp, as he stands next to Rhydian his figure dominating my attention.

"Well I know you are desperate for some independence so if you can successfully learn to fight or at least defend yourself against a vampire, then maybe danger will be less of an issue moving forward. You might be more... comfortable here" Affection blooms in my chest at the end of his sentence.

"How is me against a vampire a fair fight?"

"Just take the lesson Evelyn," His tine broaching anger, and I know there is nothing I can do to change his mind, and I can see where he is coming from as much as I don't want to admit it.

I mumble a small "Fuck you" at him as I move to meet my trainer in the middle of room. My footsteps echoing across the floor as I approach him, and dread coils in my stomach at the look in this man's eyes.

He doesn't speak as I stop in front of him, raising his fists in a fighting pose for me to copy, the threat I had felt before only increases when he throws a punch towards my face. A scared shriek leaves me as I duck out of his way, he continues to advance at me with sharp kicks and punches that I narrowly miss repeatedly.

My thigh and calves ache from the repeated hits he has landed against me, my arms ache from holding them up and blocking what he throws towards my face. How is this helping? All this is accomplishing is me getting my ass kicked which is maybe what Rhydian wanted.

He seems intently focused on my neck, and I can feel that Sel's bite is still covered and not leaking blood. Which means one thing, this man wants to eat me and as soon as the realisation dawns on me the blood drains from my face and I skitter backwards.

Still holding my hands out to protect my body, he continues to advance on me with increasing speed, a growl leaves his lips as one of his fists makes contact with the side of my face and a scream leaves my lips as I hit the ground. The world seems to spin on its axis, his feet encroaching on my body, and I smash my eyes closed, panic bubbling in my chest.
