Twenty-Nine, Pillars of Royalty

The force that Mady leaps at me with is shocking but the gesture is more than welcome, she isn't Selena or Kyle, but the hug was definitely welcome after leaving Rhydian again and not knowing what will come now.

My plan is to find a plan, and to do that we have to find those two good royals' that Mady mentioned in our rushed conversation in Rhydian's cells, yesterday, so much has happened so quickly that it almost feels like it's been a week but in reality, I haven't stopped.

Except for that brief stunt where I was dead this morning, but other than that my head has been running a mile a minute trying to think of anything that will keep my family alive. At this point I am going with anything because if I'm being honest, I have no idea what I'm doing.

"You're here" she gapes, pulling back to stare at me in awe.

"I am" I grin.

"How? I watched you pretty much die"

"I did die and then I heard my mums voice and she told me to open my eyes, my dad killed her which just gives me another reason to kill him. But no one has a plan, not even me so, we need to do some investigating"

"Well, I haven't got much information, but I do know that the other two royals did not agree with the others anti-progression sentiments"

"Seems like a pretty modern issue"

"I agree but Abel and Charlotte were completely against what Ada, Benjamin and Faye were proposing, they went to your dad and offered their assistance. It was their idea that if the Royals just completely blanked on their people that their people would turn on them. Would want to overthrow them"

"They were right but why would people agree to go back to a world without your own rules"

"That's what I don't understand either but then again, I have never heard the way he talks to people that are not doing his evil bidding. I found this out through snooping, but I don't know what he is telling everyone else"

"From what I heard when I was with him, he talks of future greatness and freedom. I always assumed it was bullshit but to strip them of everything I do not understand. When people find out would they not just abandon my father?"

"That was my question but think about it, people have been doubting the royal's authority for years, far longer than you've been alive. Their plan isn't to just take us back to the 1700's, it is to completely retake their throne's, and then they will have a stronger authority over us than before"

"What about Abel and Charlotte, surely they found out and did something?"

"That's the thing, when we got here, their wing, this wing of the castle was more untouched than the rest. As if there hasn't been anyone here in a lot longer than four months"

"You think they did something to them?"

"I would bet a lot of money on it"

"Then I guess we have two, probably dead vampires to find" I state, standing up from her bed.

"How do you suppose that we get into Edwards quarters without being caught and killed?"

"You really think that Edward would keep two dead royals in his section where his oh-so loyal followers could find them. We are already against them; how much would it affect him if our people found them"

"It wouldn't because we are already opposing him, he needs to keep up his good guy act. Dead royals would really just fuck with that plan of action"
