This book represents a time in our lives when we were transitioning from one part of our lives (middle school) to another (high school). I'm sure it'll be obvious enough by some of the language we use, references we make, or the plot and characters in general.
Regardless, What Comes Next is two coming-of-age girls writing a coming-of-age story, and I see a lot of my younger self in it. And as J and I transition into the next phase of our lives I hope that, in some way, you can feel the same.
