"Lewis...can you hear us?"
His eyes opened, making himself a reveal of an atmospheric setting along with seven celestial beings surrounding him.
"Please rest, but listen carefully.
Your family and friends have disappeared and an evil curse is laid upon you. With them vanished, you must head to the destination that was settled with cure and livelihood.
Fortunately, you have the seraphic guidance for venturing.
You won't be alone, of course. There will be assistance of those who are going on the same path as you.
Please also remember: spare others and abolish the evil darkness that lays within.
As told, your journey awaits you now."
The feeling of slow descent converts to the softness of the flower bed. Lewis slowly gets up, firstly noticed three torii gates surrounding him. The sunset colored the forest scenery with a mix of pink and yellow, leaving a hint of green on the grass. Standing up to advance, he heard a crackling sound behind him. There was another person, lying in the opposite position, wearing a waiter outfit and had uniquely fiery hair.
"Arthur?" Lewis wondered if that was his best friend.
Sadly, his assumptions were not as he expected. The young man turned out to be a fire embodied monster with glasses as his needed accessory. His face was barely visible, however the eyebrows were there for a simple reason.
"My name is Grillby, actually," the flamed man introduced, while fixing his glasses. "You?"
Lewis hesitated for a while, then introduces to him.
"Lewis...Lewis Pepper," he replied solemnly.
"Hmm...what's wrong?" Grillby asked, curiously.
"...my family...and friends..." he responded as he began to swallow the sadness. He got startled a little when Grillby placed his hand on his shoulder. Surprisingly, the fire didn't burn through his clothes.
"I know. I suppose you have the same dream as mine. Trust me. I was confused when I dreamt of that, and I don't where my daughter might have gone."
"What's your daughter's name?"
"Fuku."
"You don't know what happened to her?"
"No, but if we go and discover the mysteries behind this, we can find our family and friends."
Lewis nodded before Grillby rose up and lead the way. The two began their journey, leaving the resting place.

It was almost nighttime when Lewis and Grillby left. They approached the plains, feeling the softness of the grass slightly touching their ankles. Suddenly, the monster stopped, making the man stop also, when he noticed someone else walking towards them. It appears to be a green girl with a strange, diamond haircut. As she got closer, a gem appeared on her forehead. The girl appeared to be happy at some point.
"Howdy! I'm Peri, Peri the Peridot!" the little one chirped.
"Hello?" Lewis responded, unsurely.
"Hmm...you seem to be misinterpreted of what's going on in this world. How about we go the routines."
Peri snap her fingers and hearts appeared in front of Lewis and Grillby. Both of them are red but with differing angelic features.
"You see those hearts in front of you. Those are your souls guarded by an angel." Peri instructed and began pointing at Grillby's 'heart'. "If you have a halo surrounding your soul, a cherub is guarding it." Then she pointed at Lewis's. "If the soul has six wisps floating around it, it's a seraph. If you move, your angelic-guarded soul moves with you."
Out of curiosity, Grillby backed away from Peri and luckily his soul went towards him.
"Hey, it worked," Peri cheered. "As a reward, I will give the pellets of friendliness."
She summoned nine bullets, and they went towards Lewis. Grillby, mistrustful, pulls Lewis away. Peri becomes perplexed.
"Hey, why did you do that? Let's go again."
She did the same thing, but Grillby directed Lewis away the so-called "pellets of friendliness".
"Again..."
The third time she did it, they avoided. The fourth time, the same thing. But after the fifth, she turned sinister.
"So...you do know what's going on!" She exclaimed. "But not trusting me doesn't lead you to live."
As a result, her spiked pellets surrounded the duo, who were confused yet scared. As soon as she said "Die!", the fear comes in as the bullets move closer. Grillby scrunched himself against Lewis since he's taller. Peri laughed manically. Suddenly and fortunately, their luck came at an unexpected time.
