Chase didn't even think he was on a date at all. Him and Cynthia decided to end the weekend off by attending amusement park. He thought it'll be fun and exciting at first but he was not satisfied. They just got there and Cynthia has been staring at her phone the whole time, not paying attention to him.

Why hang out with someone if you're not going to acknowledge them? It made no sense to him and made him want to go home. "Babe let's play this" Chase told her with a smile. She just nodded at him, finally looking away from her phone. They stopped at a booth which was one of those games you had to shoot a basketball to the highest hole to get a prize.

Chase tried his hardest to win Cynthia something big but he wasn't the greatest at basketball. He can tell from the corner of his eyes that his girlfriend was totally disinterested. She kept looking around at strangers at the booth who was screaming of victory while her boyfriend struggled.

The dirty blonde haired girl covered her face with hands peaking through, feeling a bit embarrassed that her boyfriend tried again and still sucked. Chase was able to win somewhat of prize. He won a small brown teddy bear and he gave it to Cynthia who just took it to make her boyfriend happy.

"You want to go on the double shot?" He asked her. The tall boy really did love rides and everything. Chase was a bit of a daredevil and kinda loved the excitement of fear. "No I'll wait here" she said, taking his phone to hold. Chase shrugged and got on line for the ride. Cynthia unlocked his phone with her finger print.

She thought that his phone was dry until someone by the name of "Noen" called him. Cynthia knew her man. She knew who he hung out with and who he didn't associate with. So, this new person caught her in surprised. Cynthia was so tempted to answer then Chase came back rather than quickly.

"They aren't letting anyone go on the ride, so next one?" He told her. Cynthia glanced at his phone, seeing Noen disappeared off the screen. She gave it back to him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder in an awe matter.

"Who is Noen?" She heard the name before, it sounded familiar. The question made Chase raise his eyebrow as they walked side by side in a large crowd. "He's a nobody you don't need to worry about him" He assured her but Cynthia was still skeptical.

She needed to know about this Noen guy. Not because she would worried he'll cheat on her because she knew that her boyfriend was straight but she was kinda feeling joyful that Chase was making more friends. Though, him and Anthony were best friends, they seemed to be drifting off lately.

Chas never told her things. She only hoped that maybe he would tell Noen things and he wouldn't bottle up his feelings. With that said, the two waited on line to get on the sky climber which was ride that flipped upside down and made you go high in the air.

The younger girl did have pleasant feelings on being on rides. The whole time she was screaming on the top of her lungs as Chase held her hand laughing the whole way through. She loved moments like this. After, they ate cotton candy together and took cute selfies by the pier.

The two "love birds" got on the ferris wheel together to end the night off. They two didn't talk. They just enjoyed the sunset that was appearing in the sky. It was kinda like lavender color that they both loved. Chase liked this. Maybe he wasn't gay after all. Maybe he needed this to realized he was still in love with his girl.

There was no one on his mind but Cynthia. He just couldn't stop looking at the sunset in admiration on how beautiful it truly was. Slowly, he took her hand and intertwined with his. "When we get married I want to have a sunset like this" Chase smiled. Cynthia's heart smiled too. She grabbed his hand back, squeezing it.

"You want to marry me?" Cynthia wanted to cry from a place of happiness. It was difficult to know how Chase felt about her. Sometimes, she felt like he didn't want nothing to do with her. She felt abandoned by him for a long time. To have him say that to her, it meant so much.

He responded in a small tone, "Why wouldn't I want to marry you? you're the most beautiful girl in the world and you make me happy. I don't want to spend my time with anyone but you. You're kind and caring and so wonderful. I love you so much Cynthia Parker that's why I'm giving you this" Chase pulled a promise ring out his pocket sweater.

"I promise you that I will love you forever and nothing you could do could make me leave you one day we're going to be standing at the alter together as husband and wife" He placed it on her left hand, on her ring finger specifically. She never felt so teary eyed before in her life. She couldn't believe this.

"I'm so freaking in love with you Chase Hudson you have no idea" she kissed him passionately. Their lips moved in sync.  Please feel something, feel something, Chase thought. He loved her but their lips were not made for each other. It completed her but when will it ever complete him?

Chase found him very pleased with the date like kinda jumping around his room pleased. He really wanted to tell someone about it so he called Anthony to come over. Anthony just watched Chase smile with full on teeth and prancing around his room. "Are you going to tell me or you want me to watch you for the next 20 minutes?" Anthony implied annoyed.

Chase finally stopped and spilled out on why he was so happy. "Bro I thought me and Cynthia wasn't going to work out but the universe proved me wrong. I gave her a promise ring and it was the best decision I have ever made" Chase gushed, not noticing Anthony's frown. Anthony tried his best to hide his feelings.

It took a while for him to notice his best friend was not really invested in the conversation. "Hey dude did I say something wrong?" He asked him, sitting down next him at the edge of his bed. "No no no tell me what she said" Anthony encouraged him to continue. He didn't want his best friend thinking he was hurt by this.

"Well she told me she was in love with me" Chase stated. His heart was still fluttering with butterflies thinking about it. Anthony forced a smile, "atta boy" congratulating his friend on his relationship. Chase just kept on babbling on which was making it worse. How could he ever tell his best friend he was in love with his girlfriend?

Anthony interrupted him by standing up, "I need to go bro.. I play on fornite with you later?" Chase nodded. "thanks for listening to me I'm just really happy that Cynthia is mine" he gave Anthony a fist bump. " I'm happy for you dude love you" Anthony went in for a hug and Chase accepted it for the first time in a while.

Anthony existed his house when saying goodbye to Chase's sisters and his parents. He hopped in his car, feeling his throat tighten. The boy was trying so hard to be positive and by uplifting playing music but the only thing he could hear is his heart breaking. He done something way worse. Way way worse.
