Being Cynthia Parker was wearisome. The young girl felt like life was beating her up everyday and she could never catch a break. Cynthia was stressed out and it was very bad. She paced around her for an hour because she never felt so anxious before. "What the hell am I going to do?" She asked to herself, sitting on the edge of her bed.
She closed her eyes and re- opened them again. Cynthia kept doing this because this was all a dream. It had to be. This couldn't be real. She was hoping maybe it was one of those lifetime movies where she in a coma for 20 years. Sadly, it wasn't. The teenage girl stood up and walked inside her bathroom slowly. She hesitantly stole a glance at the brand, Clear-blue, she brought from.
She brought a whole pack of tests as to be sure. Cynthia covered her face, allowing one eye to see her result. Pregnant. She saw. "No no no" her voice was risen in a full panic. Cynthia bend down to her knees, she felt like she going to die. "No no this isn't true" she repeated. She decided to take a few more, all saying the same thing to her.
"This can't be happening" she laid out 4 pregnancies tests on her bed. She thought maybe she could escape the truth but she couldn't. Cynthia stared at the tests, feeling her body tremble. She had no clue what to do. Cynthia put the tests under bed so her mom wouldn't see them. The young girl was trying her hardest to be distracted by taking a shower and watching a movie.
Suddenly while laying in her bed, her thoughts were bothering her. It was like she bullying herself in a way of being so stupid. She paused the Netflix movie and deciding to go to bed. The problem with Cynthia was that she tried to act all tough but deep down, she wasn't strong at all. She never showed her vulnerability to anyone. That's where her and Chase connected.
With each other, they didn't have to talk about their home problems or personal things. They knew the basic things that every partners should know and that was it. Chase never really cared enough to know who Cynthia Parker was, no one really did. At this moment, she never felt so alone. She felt like she had no one to go to. Her sadness was not hidden away.
A great sob escaped her and Cynthia covered her face with shaky hands. She was trying so hard to stop but it was uncontrollable. Her tears were streaming down her face like a river escaping a dam. Her short intake breath was heard throughout the room like the sounds of hiccups. The young girl held herself because that was only person she could turn to. She never felt so lost before.
"Darling?" Her mom knocked on the other side of the door worriedly. "Yes mom?" Cynthia took a deep breath to her clear voice. She didn't want her mom to know what was happening. "Are you okay? Dinner is ready on the table" her mom told her. "I'm okay.. don't make me a plate I already ate" she told her mom in breathy voice. "Okay" her mom was easy to convince.
Cynthia sighed heavily, having a couple tears fall out again. She got out of bed, standing up straight to see her reflection in her full body mirror. The young girl's face was flushed red from crying hard. Her eyes were still teary and tired from being rubbed. Cynthia gulped, observing her pitch perfect body. Her tied long dirty blonde hair up in a low bun to see herself clearly.
Cynthia was uncomfortable. She never wanted throw out all the mirrors so bad. She hated herself. She really wanted to disappear but she couldn't. Cynthia did a 360 in the mirror, picturing how her body would look like 9 months from now. She lifted up her tank top to see her stomach. The young girl moved side ways to observe.
Her stomach was still flat, it wasn't noticeable. It was only because she was in her first trimester in her pregnancy. Cynthia looked down at her stomach, placing a hand gently on top of it. She was feeling uneasy that there was a small baby growing inside of her. The teenage had to make a decision and she felt afraid to make a wrong one.
