The whole kissing situation was not something Eubanks wanted to think about. For days, it was on his mind. The image of a girl kissing the boy he loves tore him half. Noen made the most typical excuse ever in history said by every teen by saying to Chase "my parents want me home soon" knowing damn well they did not. He just couldn't stay in that room with the couple, it was too much for him.

"Soooo he kissed Cynthia in front of you? After you told him you loved him?" Kevin asked on face time. On the screen, you could see him baking home made pizza from scratch. He also wearing a chef hat and had drawn a curly mustache under his nose as he was character in ratatouille. Noen found his best friend weird sometimes but didn't mind how ridiculous he looked at the moment.

"Hm" It was hard talking since he had spoon full of ice cream in his mouth. Noen has been sick for past few days. He had no idea what it started but he felt like absolute shit. Well he felt like worse with a broken heart. Noen blew his stuffy red nose and crumbled the dirty tissue. He stirred the spoon in the ice cream container slowly, "technically she kissed him but he didn't stop it".

Noen felt stupid for feeling upset about it. They were a still a couple and he shouldn't have had high expectations for Chase to drop everything for him just because he said "I love you". It may dumb to have that foolish mindset but all you can do is hope for the best. "I hate this.. I want him to leave my mind because he clearly doesn't want me" Noen sounded like he was speaking through his nose.

"Did he say anything to you?" Kevin voice was high pitch to impersonate an Italian accent. Noen coughed multiple times before answering, "He said he'll see me later". That made his best friend let out a chuckle for some reason. Noen stared at him with a blanket around his head, weirdly. Kevin couldn't stop laughing. "What's so funny?" Noen drunk some tea

"I'm sorry but how is going to see you later if he only had one eye" That made Noen spit out his tea and start laughing along with Kevin. The two were suckers for dark humor. "You're going to hell" He tried to catch his breath but continued chuckling. You could see Kevin trying to wipe out his tears, "you're joining me" the laughing was contagious.

The two calmed down a bit and sinked back to normal. Kevin resumed on cooking his pizza while saying every ingredient out loud again. Noen yawned loudly, feeling sleepy. "I have to go to his house tomorrow because our parents wants to meet up for dinner" telling kevin. "Save me a plate" Kevin heard the word dinner. "Serious" Noen noted.

"Okay okay... um don't say anything to him let him talk to you first and if he truly wants you... he is going to tell you that" Kevin advised. Noen stay silent because he was afraid of pushing it. What if Chase doesn't want him?

Tomorrow felt like it came so soon for Noen. His parents already parked outside their household. "Their house..." His mom was shocked to see. "Yes they have money" his fathered answered while getting out. Noen was slightly annoyed because he really wanted to sleep in bed and he had dress fancy. His parents liked making themselves look presentable.

Which meant he had to wear khakis and a button up white shirt. The whole style made him want to gag inside. His parents looped arms as Noen followed them, holding a home baked carrot cake that they prepared for tonight's dinner. It didn't take long for Mr. Hudson to greet them at the front door. Chase sat in wheelchair with a smile, seeing the Noen's parents for the first time actually.

He thought the older boy resembled his parent physical appearance heavily. His father had a sharp jawline, obviously Eubanks inherited. Noen held his mom's eyes like crazy. Chase greeted his parents who kissed them all over cheeks for "saving their son". Noen gave the cake to Chase's step mom and dad. He handed them the cake with a bright smile.

They all rounded up at the table for dinner. Chase watched his little sisters run for Noen and hug both his sides because they were tiny. It was cute scenery. "Neon i miss you" Karissa giggled. "I miss you more" Noen told her, bending down to both and played tickle monster.

The two families gathered around the long marble table, chatting along. They're parents seemed to get along well. Chase learned Noen's parents were both painters and meant at some studio. Noen learned that the younger boy's dad was hockey champion back in his age. It was interesting to know both of their world's and where each came from.

Chase was waiting for dinner to be over to be honest. He kinda wanted to alone with Noen because he noticed he seemed upset the other day. "Hey is it okay if me and Eubanks go to the park?" Chase asked, cutting in their conversation. "Yes but take your sisters with you" his step mom told him. Their dads were in a deep discussion to care. Noen glanced at him with irritating look. "Keep your phone on" his mom said before he left.

The two boys headed out the house. Noen took the hands of Marlena and Karissa's as they skipped along. Chase rolled hismelf behind them, feeling frustrated that he didn't have an electric wheelchair. They got to the park in five minutes. It a few parents there with their children. Karissa and Marlena let go of Noen's hands and ran immediately to the playground.

"You're mad at me" Chase stated, turning his wheelchair to face Noen. The older boy sat at the bench quietly, not saying anything at first. "You're mad at me because my girlfriend kissed me and I had no idea she was going to kiss me" Chase claimed. "Do you like me Chase?" He can hear the sickness in the other's voice. "As a friend then sure" he responded in a low voice. "I like you because we are friends".

"Friends?" Noen raised his eyebrow. "If you're okay with us being friends" Chase assured him, laying his hand on his knee. "I realized you're really my only real friend I have" These words hurt the shorter boy. "I don't want to be your friend" Noen said. "We can't be just friends and you fucking know it" Noen added on. "I like you more than a friend way more how I feel about Kevin and Avani" he stared at Chase who looked down at his feet.

"We kissed did not feel anything?" Noen was desperate. He just wanted things to work out between them. He wanted a chance. The blonde haired boy was too hopeful for a happy ending. Chase glanced up with a sad smile, "I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way" Noen wanted to cry. "I have a girlfriend Noen.." The taller boy continued. "Why can't you leave her?" Noen shot back with a hurt tone.

"You can't leave a one year relationship like that Noen.. when you're in love with someone you stay with them" Chase argued. "But I'm in love with you" A tear ran down Noen's cheek. "Why can't you love me back?" Chase could feel his throat tighten. He hated whenever Noen cried. It didn't make him feel good at all. "Please don't cry" Chase took his hand into his own.

It took a moment for Noen to calm down his uncontrollable sob. "You deserve someone better who isn't me" Chase's voice was small, "Someone who is better than me". The older boy choked up, "Okay" he said. There was nothing more to say because it hurt to talk. "You'll find someone Noen I promise" Chase was trying to comfort him. With that, the two got Marlena and Karissa and went back home.

The sisters took notice to Noen's sad expression but he told them it was allergies. By the time they got there, Noen's parents was ready to go home. That night, he letted Jaden Hossler hold him tight so maybe he can fall back into pieces.
