CHAPTER NINE: TWO WEEKS FEELS LIKE A LIFETIME

It didn't take to long to get to Ultron, which was good for the mission, however, Olive wished it took longer. She was mainly nervous that she would lose control, like last time. There was also the reoccurring thought in the back of her head telling her that her siblings would be upset. But, why should she care? After all they've done?

Olive wanted to convince them to listen to her, for once, and do the right thing. But it was easier said than done. They're too far gone, and it didn't seem to matter who she was to them, they were set on working with the enemy.

"Ah, junior. You're gonna break your old man's heart." Tony sighed in fake sadness, landing on a walkway in his suit, the sound of metal hitting against metal rung in the air.

"If I have to." Ultron shrugged. Olive could see where he got his sense of humour, and sarcasm. (It was an irritating thought to think that a robot might be funnier than her). Olive stood a few feet behind Thor, her eyes trained on her siblings. She had a look of hurt on her face, but she kept silent.

Clint and Natasha, on the other hand, were sneaking around the boat. And while Olive didn't know specifically where, she was still aware that they were there.

Bruce was the only one waiting in the Quinjet, he was to stay behind as to not cause too much trouble, but would be here in an instant if there was a 'code green'.

That left Olive, Steve, Tony and Thor standing in front of Ultron and the twins, trying to keep the argument from escalating. Olive was positive that the Avengers only brought her with them to try and reason with the twins, even if they didn't say. They never gave her a direct answer when asking, but she knew.

Now that she was seeing them clearly after the first time in weeks, she wasn't so sure she could do it.

"Nobody has to break anything." Thor reasoned.

"Clearly you've never made an omelet." Ultron shot back (which caused Olive to mentally take notes on how to make a good comeback).

Tony noticed the robot's similar sense of humour and muttered, "he beat me by one second."

"Ah, yes. He's funny, Mr. Stark." Pietro started, his eyes falling to Olive. His face was unreadable, causing the younger Maximoff to shift uncomfortably in her place. "It's, what? Comfortable? Like old times?" Pietro stared down at the bombs from across the boat. Olive held her breath momentarily at the sight.

Tony found their line of sight, muttering softly under his breath. "This was never my life."

"You two can still walk away from this," Steve spoke up, glancing at Olive momentarily. "Just like Olive did." Olive looked back up to see the twins already looking at her, she could feel the judgment in their stares.

It had only been a little over two weeks. Two weeks since she last saw them. Somehow, it felt like a lifetime. If she thought deeply, they hadn't really changed. They had the same motives, same thoughts and comebacks. What really threw Olive off was the way they were looking at her. They had never looked at her like that before, and she didn't like it.

"Oh, we will." Wanda said coldly, a small smirk pulling at her lips.

"I know you've suffered." Steve added carefully.
