"getting me into drugs"

"We have to stop running into each other like this" the words passed my lips carelessly as Grayson approached me.

"Hi Jade"

"Hi "

"Grayson," He said. "Oh I remember"

He seemed sad as he followed me. I didn't ask though.

"Hey Jade, what grade did you drop out?" He asked. My brows furrowed.

"Why you wanna know?"

"I was just asking because... nevermind"

"Junior year" I answered anyway.

"What do you want?" I said.

He stumbled over his feet trying to keep up. "Someone to talk to..." he murmured. Purity all over his face.

"Why me?"

"I feel like you can relate to these things and plus... I trust you" he said shockingly. It has been no more than two weeks and he trusts me enough to tell me about his problems.

"I have to meet with someone first—" I said.

"I'll walk with you" he quickly interrupted. I shrugged continuing to walk down the blocks.

"Who are you meeting?" He asked so many questions.

"My dealer" I muttered, approaching the ally. He said nothing.

I stopped turning around facing him. "Just wait here. Don't say nothing" he nodded watching me enter the alleyway.

Brandon came to view; Wearing all black as usual. Even covering his eyes today.

" I got haze and perks as you ask," he said. I thought about it considering how much I have. I'll have to try something new another time.

"Keep the perks," I said handing him a twenty. "Always a pleasure doing business with you," he said brushing past me and leaving.

I strolled out seeing Grayson scrolling through his phone. "Let's go," I said, startling him slightly. He quickly began following me again as I made my way to my usual spot. the park.

"Are you gonna get high?" he mumbled.

I glanced at him, a smile forming on my lips. "You know me so well". This making him laugh.

We sat at a different park bench than usual. One closer to the pond with once-living creatures. Everything in this park is pretty much dead.

"Why do you like coming here so much?"

I thought of what words to put together. "Because after all that happened here. I still find peace. the people who have laid their final moments here are in a better place now and this park once brought them peace too". He's probably so confused I mean I am as well but it's my truth. People chose this park to die instead of their own homes.
