[Jade's Pov]

"I'll wait for you today, tomorrow and the day after that."

I sat at the park bench, my head bent over the armrest. Pouring liquor down my throat. It's been a while since I was drunk in the middle of the afternoon. I just had a sudden urge for something strong.

"Jade" I heard.

I shoot my head up, seeing gray. He walked over to me glancing at the half-empty bottle then back to me. "You're drunk??"

"Just a little" I held my hand up pinching my fingers before laughing lightly. I noticed a small grin he had. I wobbled over to him; tripping, falling right into his arms.

I snorted. "oops," I said, a big puff of air leaving my mouth, blowing my hair and probably disturbing his nostrils. he shook his head.

"sorry" I murmured, catching him by surprise.

"It's okay," he said with a reassuring smile.

"I don't know what you like about me but I'm sorry you do," I said with a shaky laugh, the words spilling from lips. He looked sad when I said that.

His hand held my cheek, thumb running over the dark spot that laid on it. "I'll wait for you jade, today, tomorrow, and the day after that," he said.

"I just hope you wait for me." his smile was so sincere and it was like no other. It reminded me of Aaron's but it kept its own originality it shouldn't really be compared. I stood there, scanning his features. His face held purity, light, and hope.

"Let me take you home Jade," he said trying his best to take control over me. I nodded slowly, not wanting to fight.

He scooped me up bridal style, I was surprised at first but I clung on to him, laying my head in his chest. He carried me out of the park.

My eyes feeling heavy until I heard a sudden slam of the car door. He got in starting the car.

"Where do you live Jade?"

"910 West Moreland" I whispered.

...

Once we arrived I felt him get out, opening the door for me. He looked around, I felt a bit embarrassed. "This is where you live?" I nod.

I got out, walking towards the old beatdown building.

I turned around, seeing Grayson behind me. 'you don't have to" I said. "Just let me-"

"It's fine Gray," I said, trying to reassure him. I didn't want him interacting with the guys on the steps. I didn't want him to see the pipe needles that laid in the grass. I didn't want him to see my struggle. He's so obvious to things, he only looked at the bright side and this place is nothing bright. There's an imaginary dark cloud over this place, nobody here notices the sun rays, just the rain.

He nodded.

I turned on my way, hearing him say one last thing.

"See you soon"

I made my way to the door, the dealers paying me no mind. I turned to look at him one last time. He held a small smile, before getting in and pulling off.

God, I don't wanna be selfish.
