Tris POV

I feel the sparking sensation of fur against skin as I wake. I notice I'm on the bright red couch and four is sleeping peacefully beside me with no shirt. He must have picked me up and moved me after I drifted off on his lap.

His eyes open in one swift movement and his pupils adjust to the light. He lets out a deep breath and I lift my snout and lick his cheek.. He smiles and moves his lips to say something. You have no idea how hard it not being able to hear your mate talk to you. I cant even hear him mind linking me. Four gets up to grab a piece of paper and writes me a note.

The doctors said you cant transform back until you get your hearing back. So I guess the compound will finally get to see your wings up close.

P.S. I set you on the bed and went to sleep on the couch, I was too lazy to transform but you came in and curled up.

He smiles and scratches his neck, like he's nervous on how I will react. I nod my head and I can tell he is relieved. He nods to the door signaling he's heading to the dining hall. I nod my head and jump up. and trot to the door. I scratch at the door, but he stops me. He comes back in with them.

The earmuffs, the ugly, humiliating, polka dotted hat.

I shiver at the humiliation it brings but I know I wont be able to escape without them on. He comes over and slides them over my ears as we leave. He leads me down the halls as we come to a room filled with people. In the corner of my eye I see the gang waving us over. I spot a few people's mouths drop and if I could hear there would probably be some gasps. I feel a pair of strong arms cradle me as I'm set onto the bench.

I glare at him because I could have done that myself. I grip a napkin in my teeth while I try to be very careful not to rip it. I find a marker and use my mouth to use write scribble some very misshaped word.

I manage to scribble out. Everyone nods there heads besides, of course, Tobias. He glares at me as I sprint off. I run into the woods and let my sense of smell overtake my body. I let myself loose control as smell lilac, daisy, tulips, oak, pine, and....

Deer!

I let myself travel quickly after the sent. As I get closer I start to slow down until I spot it. I go down behind a bush and stalk it. I creep closer, and closer, and closer until I feel weight on top of me.

A rouge.

I feel it try to pin me but I just let myself grow in size. It lets out a whimper as it tries to run.

Oh no, your not getting off that easily, I tell myself. I sprint off after it and grip it by the neck. I kill it with in seconds. I scarf every bit of it down and trot back into the pack house. I watch as Tobias lets out a sigh of relief and I go up and tackle him.

He lets me nip at his fingers like I'm a puppy and we wrestle. He acts very careful not to hurt me as I jump onto him and lick his face. The whole gang watches until he picks me up and sets me down. He rubs my head as I press it against his hand and he smiles. We walk back into the room as he lies me on the couch.

"I love you" He says calmly. Wait did I just hear that. I JUST HEARD THAT!!! I decide to mind link him.

I know I say all ignorant. He raises his eyebrows as if asking if he heard correctly and I nod. He comes up and hugs me. I transform back he leans his forehead against mine.

"I missed your handsome voice" I mumble into his ear.

"I know" He says like I did and I just let myself smile.

A/N

This is my last chapter before school starts. Updates will be slowing down sadly, but I'll get through it. Hope everyone had a great summer.
