Divergent werewolves

Chapter 9

I wake to the feeling of my bones aching. Every part of me is in pain as I feel my eyes flutter open. The whole gang is sitting around me and Tobias walks in with a glass of water. A few of them gasp and I notice feathers brushing my face. Probably from my wings.

"Glad to see you up" Tobias says sincerely.

"how long was I out?" I ask concerned.

"A day, that must take a lot of work to change" I try to lie to make myself seem stronger.

"No" I say as I nibble in my right cheek.

"Your lying, your biting your cheek" Christina blurts out and I decide to scare her. I use all my power to go into my nine tail and bare my teeth.

what were you saying? I mind link her as her mouth drops.

"She's not lying, she's not lying" She repeats super fast as I back off. She lets out a touching sigh of relief. I use what ever strength I have left to transform into my human.

"She makes it look easy" I hear Tobias mumble under his breath. Ever since I found out I was a descendent my senses have increased.

"Trust me it's not" I say as everyone looks at me like I just said the most random thing ever. I just smirk at Tobias as he's about to say something.

"Oh quatro, You think I'm strong. Trust me when I say my senses are stronger" He looks at me in awe again as I let out a slight laugh.

"Yeah right" Uri mumbles under his breath as I glare at him.

"If I was lying Uri, how would I be able to know you had pudding for breakfast, when I heard you tell Zeke you ate an apple" He gasps as Zeke glares at him and Marlene and Shauna sit there laughing their butts off.

"That was a supposed to be a secret" He murmurs as he pouts.

"well it isn't anymore, and you guys need to stop saying things under your breath." I say as Tobias let's out a sigh. Uri's face lights up with an Idea as I transform back into my yin-yang and curl up on the couch.

"Aww is puppy tired" Chris teases as get up and walk over to Tobias whom is sitting in the recliner and plop myself on top of his lap.

"Oof! honey I think your too big to fit on my lap." I look up into his ocean blue eyes and mind link him.

I can be bigger you know, I am part yin-yang

He shakes his head quickly as I bury my head in his lap. He gently strokes my head and he drags his fingers across my fur. I look up and he smiles so I set my head down. I completely forgot about Uri's smirk so I just doze off.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHH" Uri screams so loud. I jolt up as my ears ring. I see the darkness consume me. I cant hear a word and my vision is black. I feel strong arms lift me and I completely black out.

I wake up to a bright light as the room slowly fades into my vision. I see mouths moving but I cant hear a word.

"Tobias I cant hear" I try to say but nothing comes out.

He has sympathy in his eyes but the doctor comes in. He explains something to the doctor and the doctor nods. Tobias pulls out a piece of paper a write something. It reads:

Tris I'm so sorry, but Uri screamed and you passed out. The doctor said your hearing will come back but we need to keep our voices down around you. I may have or may not have beat up Uri and he's in the room next door. I just want you to remember as you go through this that I love you.

I nod my head to signify that I under stand and he writes a note that tells me that we can leave. He signs me out and carries me bridle style back to his penthouse. He lies me on the couch and I transform into my yin-yang because it's the most comfortable. I love how my wings cradle me and my fur is thicker.

Tobias walks back in with the ugliest pair of earmuffs. The have random colored polka dots and I feel humiliated. I shake my head as he slips them over my wolves ears. I shake them off the second they are on. He shakes his head and takes a string and ties them on. I can tell he is trying not to laugh as he goes to open the door. I bury my head so no one can see my earmuffs.

Everyone crowds the room including Uriah. He has a black eye and he has a neck brace on. He has sympathy and guilt in his eyes as he stares at the ground. He's silently crying as everyone comes in and sits just to give me the safe feeling of company. Uri comes closer and I'm scared. I don't want anybody to know but my instinct makes me sit up. I back away from him as he holds his hand out. I sniff it and run back onto Tobias' lap. He pets me as Uri transforms into his wolf. His neck brace transforms into a cone. I feel as my wolf pounces on him and he doesn't fight it. He just lets me. I see his eyes glass over. Then I realize.

He didn't mean to hurt me.

I jump off of him and crawl back to Tobias' lap. Uri goes back into human form and I nod at him. He seems relieved as I doze off onto Tobias' cradling lap.
