MOVING DAY
┗︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎┛︎"Aubrey, get up! Our plane leaves in the next hour and we have to be there thirty minutes early!" Aubrey's mother, Charlotte, called from the bottom of the steps. After about five minutes Aubrey decided to sit up. She was regretting today. She didn't want to move, London was her home not Derry.
Aubrey had looked up the history of Derry and she did not like it one bit. The only thing that this town was going to bring her was trouble. How did she know? Because she had this gut feeling in her stomach that was screaming for her to stay in bed and to not leave London. She wanted to listen so bad, she really did. But her mother wouldn't allow it.
Her father was an asshole for what he did, and Aubrey wanted nothing to do with him. Never has, never will. Yes, she loved her father, but she also hated him. He was the main problem in her life and in her opinion he honestly could have left when she was younger and wouldn't have cared.
Maybe a new start wasn't such a bad thing. Aubrey just wished she didn't have to have a new start in a town that had a very bloody background. At least she would have her sister with her, that's all that mattered. Her mother wasn't a bad person at all, she just didn't care about Aubrey as much as she did Cara. It hurt Aubrey to know that she wasn't good enough for her father or her mother. But at least she was good enough for her sister.
"Aubrey, can I come in?" Cara asked with a knock against Aubrey's bedroom door. That was another thing she loved about her sister. She respected Aubrey's privacy and would always knock before barging in unlike her mother or father.
"Yeah, you can come in." Aubrey answered, her british accent thick. The blonde walked through the door and sent her sister a small smile. Aubrey knew something was up, because her sister hadn't shown her teeth when she smiled. And she always showed her teeth.
"Sit." Aubrey softly spoke and her sister obeyed. She climbed under the light blue covers as she sat beside her sister.
"What's wrong, Car?" Aubrey asked with concern. Cara just shrugged her shoulders with a slight frown.
"I just don't want to leave my friends. I don't want to leave at all. What if I don't like it there? This is my home, I can't just leave it." Cara explained as she looked up at her sister, tears clouding her vision.
Aubrey let a sad smile across her face as she let out a sigh and gave her sister a hug. "I know. I don't want to leave either, but it's either mom or dad. And I think we both know mom would win this argument."
"Yeah, you're right." Cara said with a sad sigh.
"Would picking out my outfit make you feel a tad bit better?" Aubrey asked with a small smile and Cara nodded her head with a bright and toothy smile.
