THE QUARRY
┗︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎━︎┛︎

Aubrey woke up the next morning to a loud obnoxious knock coming from the front door. She knew that her mother wasn't home and that her sister had stayed with a friend so she was forced to wake up.

Aubrey ran a hand through her rats nest she called her hair, and slid down the railing of the steps, not feeling the need to actually walk down them. Aubrey walked to her front door and pulled it open to see Beverly standing there with a smile on her face.

"Are you just now waking up?" Beverly asked as she allowed herself inside of the girl's house. Aubrey let out a grunt before closing the door. The redhead turned toward the blonde and placed her hands on her hips.

"Go upstairs, take a shower, get dressed. I'll fix you breakfast. We're going to the quarry today, remember?"

"I totally forgot I had to actually do something today." Aubrey mumbled as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. Beverly chuckled and couldn't help but think Aubrey looked adorable when she was half asleep. Aubrey trailed slowly up the steps and went into her room grabbing some clean clothes. Aubrey walked into the bathroom and cut on the shower before stripping herself of her dirty clothes and then stepping into the shower letting the cold water wake her up before she changed it to warm water.

She washed her hair as well as her body before she stepped out and wrapped a towel around her self. She looked at her clothes before realizing she had forgotten that she was going to go swimming and the clothes that she had grabbed would be complicated to take off.

"Hey Bev!" Aubrey called.

"Yeah?"

"Can you grab me a slip over dress, I forgot we were going swimming so I grabbed a t-shirt and shorts.

"Yeah, any particular kind you want?" Beverly asked as she appeared in the door frame of the bathroom. Aubrey turned her head to look at her before sending her a small smile, shaking her head.

"Just my black one is fine." Aubrey answered. Beverly nodded her head and swallowed as she looked at Aubrey who had nothing but a towel wrapped around her bare body. Beverly blinked, snapping herself from her stare and walked away retrieving Aubrey's black slip over. Beverly walked back to the bathroom and handed it to the girl.

"Thank you bunches." Aubrey smiled before closing the bathroom door and slipping on her undergarments as well as her black sunflower dress. It was one of her favorites, and one of the only ones she owned. Aubrey brushed her hair before trailing down the steps and into the kitchen. Beverly had fixed her some eggs as well as bacon. Aubrey widely smiled at this before she started to scoff the food down.

"Wow, hungry are we?" Beverly laughed. Aubrey swallowed, feeling a blush rise to her cheeks at the fact that she had just embarrassed herself.

"I-uh." Aubrey clears her throat before nodding her head. "I forgot to eat supper last night."
